Tip for enhancing table performance

Hi all
I've been tweaking with my settings at the table today and have come across a big performance gain.
Basically I went into settings, then "display" then "table options" and then try turning off avatars.
I've done this and noticed an improvement in the general smoothness of play when using my laptop
