i am a live noob having only played cash once and one tourney in a casino and i think i caused more problems than solved them because i wasn't really sure of the proper etiquette twice i wanted to raise and only put 1 chip on the table which was classed as a call so to get this thread back on track can someone please put in all the rules for proper etiquette when playing at a casino i am in southampton and would like to get into more live games as i find the chat around the table at a live tourney is a lot better than sitting there just clicking on a screen and then getting all the usual comments like joke site or this is so rigged i much prefer a proper convo while playing it makes it all the more interesting

There was a thread about live poker etiquette, but it'll be fifty pages back now.

I've done the one chip thing live to signify a raise... but it only works if you've already said how much.

What chest size would you prefer as I haven't put my order in yet. I am playing  live at Grosvener casino in Brighton this weekend :)

I finished 4th for £120 ,even after making the classic noob mistake of attempting to call a raise early doors with the blinds at 25/50 and putting a 1 k and a 50 chip in lol, course I then had to follow it through v the chap who had pok js and he hit his j on the river, unfortunately for him I hit the flush, my luck shows no signs of running out yet,,arf arf.

Nice post!  I live in Rayleigh, and play regularly on the site. Never played live, but would really like to experience the live scene. Though, I'm a little daunted about playing live, not knowing all the etiquette etc. So if any kind soul lives in my area and could show me the ropes, that would be great. My local Casinos are Genting in Westcliff-on-sea, or Rendezvous in Southend-on-sea.
