Hope you enjoyed Tuesday night’s show. Barry Carter was a great guest and it made for something a little different. Thanks for all your input and questions.

    Also, does he feel like a 'marked man' being such a well known player on the site?

    Just as a suggestion, Do you think we could send in MTT requests during the 10pm hour as Mr B is a fountain of knowledge in tournaments as opposed to cash?

    Or maybe cover the roller journey from 9-11 over 2 hours as its a pretty long mtt and covers various stages of play?

    A question or two for Matt (serious ones)

    I needed to find some lobbies this morning to update the results thread from last night so I had to think who would of defo played them all so I could get the tornament ID from their sats....Matt was the first and only one I needed to check! 

    Anyway, I noted that he did not win/FT or cash in any of the 7 tournaments he played last night on Sky....

    Has this ever happened before??

    Did you win/crush elsewhere?

    How (if at all) would  this affect your mind set for your next session you play?

    Hope you have a good show, and respect to Matt for his continued success on the site.

    Question for Mr MATT BATES ( would also reiterate Mr Ivanovic's question as to the origins of the name ;-))

    We obviously see you being extremely successful in what is generally considered a fairly high variance format, how many MTT's across various sites do you play and what would you say you 'cashing' percentage is/what do you expect it to be?

    Yes. Or, another way of putting it would be, some people just don't need the extra leg-up of a Sky Sports simulcast. Their shows get big enough ratings on their own.

    Evening Guys!! Looking forward to a great show tonight!! My forte is definatly not Mtt's so looking to pick up some usefull tips from Matt. Not entirely sure why we have to rib him about his height?? Nothing wrong with a short bloke!! lol

    Questions for Matt!

    How did you get to the level you are at? Has it mainly just been a case of getting better the more you have played or have you had coaching from somewhere?
    Do you still spend a lot of time thinking about your game or specific hands that you could have played better?

    Hi all looking forward to the show.
    A Question for Matt then.
    Is it best to try to get a stack early and risk going out.
    Or play tight and wait for the later stages.
    Or just see what happens and play accordingly?

    Apart from being lucky, why do you think lots of people often put your success down to being overly fortunate rather than skilful?

    Who is your sporting hero?

    If a random player open shoves UTG hand 1 of the Thursday night Bounty hunter, and it folds to you in the big blind, what is the worst hand you call with?
