I really dislike the cachet that is somehow attached to an iPhone. It's long beyond the days when it was considered a status symbol.
You don't hear: "I just dropped my Motorola". Ever. Yet for some odd reason iPhone users feel the desire to tell everyone which brand they are using at every single opportunity.
Text. Call. Web. You know, like every other **** phone on the market these days.
interesting that SkyPoker's response to "why have an app when the browser experience is effectively the same" was because the app will be found in the Apple store.
would you ever chose an app to play poker on just bacause it was on the supermarket shelves? The imputed success of the skypoker app would suggest that is the case for some iphone users.
thinking about it - that's probably good news for the rest of us!
I've just ditched my mobile entirely. Sick of the stupid things and their BS inability to do actual phone calls properly (in this country)! It was only a Nokia thing with buttons and that snake game.
I wouldn't buy a phone for playing anything online as they're too small IMO. I need a full sized monitor and a proper keyboard/mouse.
And I actually feel much more relaxed not having one. Most times it went it was something annoying!

that snake game - brings back memories - it used to be a fun chase-your-tail thing and then suddenly it became 3-D and serious - i ditched it shortly therafter.

There are still plenty of snake based games Geldy. Chase away.
Brilliant marketing tool being an app. Sky poker brand seen when people searching the app store, on their phone 24/7 when people download it and then they can send marketing messages any time they like to whoevers downloaded it. In a browser you might look once then never go back.
As for iphones, had one didnt like it back to android now. Happier Jd

I don't know anyone with a Nexus, but they have certainly always impressed me from a technical perspective.
