There are always a number of posts claiming that Sky is rigged because of how people run, well I am not claiming it's rigged at all but here is an example of how badly you can run, JUST DUE TO VARIANCE.

I played for only about an hour and a quarter last night and played 4 MTTs and 2 Omaha HL STTs. Here are some of the crucial hands from those tournaments and before you ask there were very few hands that I haven't posted here that 'held up'. I think I had AA once and won with that and also won a £5.50 Omaha DYM so it could have been worse!

I have summarised the hands here for those of you that don't want to look at the hand histories but also posted the full histories for any non believers.

Here goes....

Started 9.00 pm (late regged for £10,000 BH and MINI BH)
9.07 KK v A6    All in Pre                LOSE
9.09 AKs v A5  All in Pre                LOSE  (Exit hand from £10,000 BH)
9.22 KK v 85    he rivers trips     LOSE
9.25 KK v QJ    All in Pre                LOSE  (Exit hand from £1,000 BH)
9.34 KK flops top full house and LOSES to ONE OUTER  (Exit hand from Omaha DYM)

10.10 KK v A5  All in Pre                LOSE  (Exit hand from £3,000 BH)

Needless to say I stopped playing at about 10.15. Variance is due to go my way soon, she was certainly a cow to me last night!

    it stings when things are going like this been the same for me for a while just need too keep going and hopefully the tide will turn im sure you will turn it back around.

    you get hit by all that and you still don´t move over to the dark side (RNG is rigged etc etc)
    had KK 4 times in an hour the other day, in just 2 tournies i played.
    every single flop had an A
    the 2 aipfs were against A rags
    the other 2 saw my c-bets raised suggesting similar.

    unlucky Enut i know how you feel ! i ran golden for a while ! one week i final tabled about 7 times in some pretty big tourneys then went on a massive downswing and i wasnt playing amy different when i was winning to  when i was losing  ! it does get to you and you start to question your play and it knocks your confidence a bit ! maybe just have a little break for a week and come back all fresh and see how things go ! if you do happen to find some luck ship some over as if it wasnt for bad luck i wouldnt have any luck at all ! RUN BETTER :)

    Thanks for your responses, needless to say I took a day off after that.

    The next time I sat down for a session I late regged for a £22 BH MTT  and after about 15 minutes got it all in pre with 10's versus 5's. The turn card was.........a 5! More of the same I thought! Then miraculously the bad beats stopped (mostly) and although I only min cashed in the mini I did win 4/4 £11 dyms and ended the session with a little profit.  More importantly I had regained some belief that getting it all in miles ahead wasn't necessarily a bad thing.

    What happened to the last two posts? I had just formulated an excellent response to the muppet who claimed it's all rigged and that I am 'a bit slow', logged in to post it and his post and Tikay's reply were no longer there.

     It's a bit sad if it was deleted by the powers that be. I can stand up for myself!

    People insult Sky Poker, & it's staff, every day, so be it, whatever.

    But when they start insulting the players too, that is too much.
     
    This, by the way, was from the gentleman who suggested "Donttellmum" was a bot, his proof being "nobody could possibly play 6 tables at a time".

    Lol, I did chuckle at you being described as "a bit slow & naive". If only he knew.......

    Coming from someone who thought "Donttelmum" was a "bot" because he 6 tables was quite interesting.

    Yeh,I heard DTM had a 20 piece drum set and taped ipads to each drum with sky poker tables open no them and played away for hours with drum sticks!!! :-)

    Well it hasn't yet! I am now contemplating folding when I know I am ahead simply because my hands are just not holding up. Exit hands last night included all in on a 8 high flop with a pair of 10s get called by AQ, he hits the A on the river and barrelling two streets with top two pair only to see the undercard pair on the river, sure enough my opponent had called two streets with third pair no kicker, to river his set!

    I'm not letting people hit cheaply in these hands either -  people must have notes on me saying 'this bloke runs really badly, call with anything as you'll out draw him'.

    I think the God of variance hates me just because I'm an atheist! I'm not greedy I don't want to run well, just stop running this badly.

    A funny one last night in a £22 BH. Matt Bates went out with QQ against QQ AIP when his opponent hit a flush. I made a comment about the fact I'd never seen him have a bad beat (in jest).

    I think it was the very next hand when I was all in pre against the same opponent. We both had AQ and again he hit the flush.

    I should have kept my mouth shut!
