    Monkey Poker ... the sequel...

    By 2214 Monkey Poker has become the biggest spectator sport in the world with Billions watching via their telepathic-holographic implants.

    Monkeys are being genetically modified and given years of specialist coaching to improve their skills.

    Caeser the reigning WSOMP - (World Series of Monkey Poker) champion becomes the first monkey allowed to enter the WSOP as rights campaigners complain it is demeaning to have a "monkey only event". After slowrolling Phil Helmuth VI when knocking him out an arguement ensues. A penalty is issued to Caeser by the tournament director (TK the pokerbot) Caeser says "noooooo!" wrecks the joint and rushes to free his fellow captive monkeys and apes.

    Ten years later Richard Orford IV returns from his Mars trip having won a package on sky. It turns out the tourney was rigged as sky wanted a cheap way to get rid of Mr Orford (how else could an Orford win a big tourney). He finds a world dominated by apes and monkeys and the battle for survival begins...

    hi rich,stu,

    great show ...


    you know your other presenters have had trouble pronouncing punta cana.  do you want to beat them?  i think that the cana bit has a cedilla over the n.  that means it should be pronounced "can-ya"


    also, the freeroll will end in the next hour.

    Punta Cana doesn't have any accents at all. Keep pronouncing it as you were Rich.

    If it was a wiggly line above the "N" that would be a tilde. But it shouldn't be there.

    Rich, some of the players may actually be playing for second place (i.e. the £500 cash rather than the Punta Cana trip) if they're unlikely to be able to take the time off etc. to go to the Dominican Republic.


    This of course makes no sense as the package included more than £500 to be deposited to the Sky Poker accounts for plane tickets, but some may not have known that and it may explain why not everyone is all out for first place.

    It was TV gold Chris.

    Sadly you didn't win though. The winners were Aussie09, BorinLoner and Phantom.

    However, you were definitely blown into the air by a hairdryer and floated past a hapless Stu Rutter, so you can't argue with that.
