Sky Poker Ch 861 have been testing a new development for some time.

It's not 100% yet, it is still "Beta", but it will "go live" for the first time tomorrow (Wednesday) between 1pm & 3pm.
 
Ch 861, between 1pm & 3pm tomorrow, will be covering action in almost real time (usually 3 or 4 minutes behind) from a selected MasterCash Table.

No commentary, just some nice music.  Far better than hearing Orford waffle, right?

It will, ideally, concentrate on one MasterCash table (any Table that is full) & remain on the table until or unless the players leave. If that happens, it will swap to another MasterCash table.
 
You cannot "request" a specific table, sorry, the whole thing is automated.

1pm - 3pm Wednesday, as a sort of "trial".

If there are no glitches, it will happen again very soon.

The eventual goal is to do this every day, though at different times, not necessarily midday. Fingers crossed, this will be very soon, perhaps this month. So that will mean less repeats, & more "Live" poker.  

It will ONLY cover MasterCash Tables.

Constructive Feedback would be much appreciated.

    Dont wana seem like im ungrateful, so just adding to above post, but meaning i rememeber trails for this years ago, and been looking forward to it since. Watching repeats just doesn't do it for me - although understand why they're there. 

    Hope these trials go well

    Ha, I did wonder.

    It's a bit more complicated than it might seem at first sight, & there is so much going on at Sky Poker right now (watch this space) but slowly-wowly, the boxes are all getting ticked.

    Anyway, they need constructive feedback, & I'm sure they'll get plenty.....;)

    I fear people are overestimating how entertaining watching a single cash table, especially with no commentary, is going to be.

    Obviously I'll put it on and see if it's better than I'm expecting... but most hands are done with pre-flop and on the flop. Watching that for two hours may be for hardcore fanboys only.


    Everyone watching the live WSOP final tonight with me? Hope for a repeat of last year's epic, non-stop action. lol

    The benefit is once this is set up it can be used as a much cheaper to produce filler. Also i'd imagine when im playing through the night, chances are now id be much, much more likely to have 861 on

    I think it will be good. I can't stand the shows where it's only big hands being shown and 30 hands missed out at a time, that's not real poker! Skypoker is all about grass roots and getting new people into poker. Having something like this will show how a lot of the time it's not wads of cash being thrown into every pot with cooler upon cooler which can scare new players away.

    Appreciate that although I think streaming a long run of consecutive hands is a bit different to the occasional highlight hand on the normal show format.

    I only knew this was happening from Tikays post - I just don't want you to be open to complaints from anyone who didn't realise their opponents had an advantage on them if they were watching the show.

    Well yeah, if you're playing and your table is on 861 for this then it's an absolute must that you watch it imo.

    Fwiw, in terms of feedback, I've been watching it on and off and it seems like lots of hands are being repeated over and over

    Yeh I was going to complain about this too, I want to see Don get stacked again. Twice isn't enough :)
