Powerful Action - (Taunton, 15:10) 4/1 (Corals) 3rd
Has made bright start in handicaps this season, building on Chepstow return to open account from subsequent winner in 2m Ludlow event last month. Sure to go well again.

Prominent in chasing group, headway on leaders after 5th, chased winner briefly 2 out, stayed on same pace from last (op 11/4)

    Sir Ivan - (Taunton, 16:10) 2.3/1(Betfair) X
£27,000 3-y-o, third foal of a bumper/2m-21f hurdle winner, from family of high-class 2½m chaser Townley Stone. Third in bumpers over C&D and Ffos Las 6 months apart. Should be in the shake-up again.

Tracked leaders until ridden and weakened over 2f out (op 5/2)

    Fayette County - (Kempton, 13:05) 5/2 (Betfair) X
Landed a Down Royal bumper for Muredach Kelly last March and scored over hurdles for new connections at Taunton (19f) and Chepstow (2½m) earlier this year. The type to do well over fences.

Took keen hold, held up in last pair, pushed along after 4 out, disputing 3rd about 5 lengths down when fell 3 out (op 6/1)

    Ma du Fou - (Wetherby, 13:20) 0.89/1 (Betfair) 3rd

Overcame some signs of inexperience to make a winning start in bumpers here in April, doing so in really good style, and could be an above-average recruit to the hurdling ranks.
Chased leaders, 4th when hit 5th, stayed on from 2 out, took 3rd last 75yds (op 8/13 tchd 4/9, 4/6 in a place)

    Le Mercurey - (Newbury, 15:15) 5/2 (Betfair) X
Useful form over hurdles, won newcomers race at Auteuil and juvenile at same track in 2013/14 for A. Adeline de Boisbrunet. Will improve further and held in high regard, but mark does look stiff.
Chased leaders until weakened 2 out (op 7/1)

    Powerful Action - (Wincanton, 14:45)  4/1 Winner

Has made bright start in handicaps this season, building on Chepstow return to open account at Ludlow (2m) in October. Creditable third of 14 off this mark at Taunton since and couldn't rule out here.
Mid-division, headway after 3 out, ridden for strong challenge between last 2, not fluent last, hard driven, led line (op 10/3)

    Sir Ivan - (Ludlow, 12:20) 16/1 3rd
£27,000 3-y-o, third foal of a bumper/2m-21f hurdle winner, from family of high-class 2½m chaser Townley Stone. Went the wrong way in bumpers, but in very good hands now hurdling.
Held up in touch, hit 3 out, stayed on same pace approaching last (op 20/1 tchd 14/1)

    Foryourinformation - (Newbury, 14:45)  4/1
Looked a good prospect in bumpers, building on considerable promise of debut when successful at Ffos Las in February. Encouraging hurdling debut despite finishing last of 4 here over 21f last month.

    Ma du Fou - (Bangor, 14:30)  1.34/1 2nd
Overcame some signs of inexperience to make a winning start in bumpers at Wetherby in April. Let down by jumping but still shaped with promise on hurdles bow latest, and longer trip expected to suit.
Chased winner throughout, not fluent 7th, ridden and hung left approaching last, soon no impression, eased when no chance run-in (op Evens tchd 10/11)

    Fayette County - (Newbury, 14:45)  6/1 X

Bumper winner who landed back-to-back novice hurdles for this yard earlier in the year. Showed aptitude for chasing despite falling on last month's return at Kempton. 1st preference 2.55 Doncaster.

    INNER DRIVE - (Huntingdon, 16:30)  4/1 Winner

Point winner and runner-up in a couple of bumpers last winter (trained by Don Cantillon first occasion). Been off a year but still interesting on hurdling bow, particularly if market vibes strong.

    ALTIOR - (Punchestown, 18:05) 14/1 X
Twice-raced winner in bumpers. 13/8, 3¼ lengths 3rd of 11 to Barters Hill in listed bumper at Newbury (16.5f, good to soft) 81 days ago, unsuited by way race developed. Has more to offer.

    Altior - (Ascot, 13:10)   11/8 Win

Smart bumper performer and made impressive start over hurdles at Chepstow earlier this month, coasting home with plenty in hand under this rider. Could take high ranking among the novice hurdlers.

    DARK HORSE

Followed up Huntingdon hurdle success (20.5f) in March with a narrow second of 6 in novice event at Newbury (21f) 19 days later. Not seen since but has to be respected on chase debut.
