Stupid call? Not big enough raise pre? Help please you lovely people :)

How bad is this call? 15 players left before min cashing in tonights £20k BH - blinds are 400/800 and the villan has been quite quiet really, nothing over the top but has gone all in a few times. 

Did I raise way to small pre? With me only have 6900 chips & being so close to cashing it did play on my mind. Should I instafold when he goes all in?
