"Ok you are the tournament director. What is your ruling?
It is a 500 side event at the Belgian Poker Championships. Guy as a joke puts one of his chips in his beer. Very funny! Those Belgians are comedians.
Few hands later he gets carried away and puts half his stack in his beer and doesn't take it out. It is now 5 mins later and we have played a few hands. He has about 6k in his beer glass and about 12k on the table. Action on this hand goes as follows.
Early position raise, mid position call. Action is on chips in beer guy and he does the following.
First he slides his beer glass over the betting line. Next he goes back and grabs the rest of his chips and pushes them forward. Two seconds later he says 'all in'
Is this a raise to 6k or a call? Is it a string bet? Or is he all in? Should he get a penalty for putting his chips in his beer and refusing to remove them?
1st. The dealer should be shot for not doing anything about it...
2nd. As said dealer has clearly not been shot, then this must class as a 6k raise, he has multiple chips so it is not a call as it was not a single 6k chip put over the line.
3rd. Don't put your glass on the table!!
4th SECURITY!! Eject this man please.
Oh and why do people have to always include a buy in and a title of the tournament when they think it's going to make them look like such a high roller? Surely rules are rules.
Cash table: Kid takes off his flip flops and puts them in the middle of the table, puts his half eaten pizza in the middle then his whole stack and then announces all in. Is this a string bet? Does the all in count and would you bag his flip flops and take them home after eating the rest of his half eaten pizza after you won the hand? The guy disputed having to leave his flip flops and pizza in there.

For this reason I don't think this situation could ever arise. Yet to play in a casino that lets you put drink on the felt. But speaking hypothetically I agree with FLASHFLUSH's 2nd point

All the rage in Vegas. Just get a little napkin and fill your boots. Feels weird though, and I'm paranoid I'll spill something.
Yet to play in a casino this side of the Atlantic that permits drinks on tables.

Ha I can't be held responsible for that if anything happens! Drinks on the felt are fine, chips in beer is a grey area.
What about ordering a coffee and sticking you're whole stack in said coffee. Action folds to you and you look down at AA, nice. Go to fish out some chips to raise but the coffee is too hot for your pinkies. Apologise to the table whilst you wait a few minutes for your beverage to cool down enough to retrieve the chips. Do your raise and the game continues.
Then complain loudly about the lack of sugar in your drink, that will increase your table popularity no?
I'm no expert (and am probably totally wrong.. ha well lol) but I would have said his 1st action with the beer glass constitutes a call as we are always being told announce your intentions before you act not after. As for him putting the chips in his beer what a plonker surely there must be some recourse to punish this idiot.

This could be evolution of the game. No limit beverage hold em. You put your chips into different drinks and win the drinks as well as the chips. That way even if you bust you might have had a few bevvies along the way!!
