i believe that the player would have folded to any raise pre flop thats why i flat called and he open said he didnt put me on aces so my trap worked correct i think lol

    Played it terrible.

    Raise pre
    Bet Flop
    Bet turn
    Shove river

I think you do need to be slightly more agressive with it, as it happened it was just a cold deck and there is no way the opponent will fold a full house there. Look at the state of things by the turn, you have AA vs 1 opponent and the pot is still only £2, you were lucky he hit his hand so strong so that he paid you off. Try to build the pot up more or most of the time your AA is only going to win a pot around £5 or £6 which is a bit of a waste really.

Also by limping in you give him a free chance to flop straights, flushes, 2 pair trips etc... Its better to take a lot of small pots than lose all your stack when you cant fold AA

The Advice being given is for the best play in the long run, Your right the guy probably would have folded pre if you raised but what will happen in the long run is you will not trip up on the flop. You will let the other hand in cheap and find that people with poor holdings will felt you with 2 pair, or a house as this guy would have made and then you'll be very annoyed that K 4 cracked your aces. Long Run = Raise Pre, Although that would have killed the action on this hand it will protect you in the long term.

Veryyyyy nice river for you, enjoy it, but but dont get too carried away by it. - As a couple have people have said, it could have ended in disaster.

Theres no getting away from the other guys hand blind on blind, especially with that river - going into the river there was only 6 quid in the pot, after it, there was over £100 - perfect card, and well played in this case, dnt play them aces slow everytime tho ;)

Sim, here is a scenario I have gone through several times (but not recently because now I ALWAYS raise PF by 3 to 5*BB)
    1. Get PP AA
    2. Slow play
    3. Get outdrawn
    4. Feel sick

Alternative scenario (which happens less often)
    1. Get PP AA
    2. Slow play
    3. AA holds up
    4. Breathe big sigh of relief and give myself a stern talking to.

Been there done that...rafl!!! Don't we all at first?...then our AA starts getting cracked and we wise up...As my Mum used to say...'there's wisdom through listening and pain through learning!!!'

Nice pot but my advice would be too raise pre, checking the flop was fine to try and get him to bet, i would bet the turn after villain checked the flop though because of the straight and flush draws then river is standard cooler.
