Freerolls I'm confused

Been away for a while so not sure if things have changed .
Decided to come and have a flutter at the freeroll to see if I could regain my interest in the game as got very hacked off with it and decided on a break for a while .
My question is are the free rolls only now available if you have earned x amount of poker points or are there still free rolls as before but at different times ? As I said been away a while so not sure how the land lies now .
