Mini from last night ukops

In the mini last night I was lying 6/10 going along nicely with 18 Bigs

Then this happened.

Should I have just called as I might have got away from it after the flop. The pay jumps were starting to go up a lot and I might have made a FT but I felt this was my chance.

If I win this hand think I go into 1st or 2nd. Honestly I think the hand plays itself. Starting to not like QQ much lol.

    unlucky here mate,
what would you do next time? is the question I ask myself.
looks like you've already answered that to me.
can't fault your agression here though.
I'm sure better tournament players than me will give some good answers.

edit[ 18 bigs QQ yeah, has to be allin doesn't it? just unlucky.

If you think the villain is a loose/poor player then i like the 3 bet if you think they are super solid then i would just be getting it in and widening your range as much as possible..

also have you been 3 betting lots of hands like suited connectors etc? if you havent been doing that then i would prefer a shove, if you have been 3 betting lots then its always best to stick to it and no one will believe you when you have it.

final point is you need to make them feel like they are ahead, if you had aj/aq etc think about how you would play that hand and try and play your qq the same so that they get the feeling they are crushing you..

no matter what it should always be going on with them 2 hands though but just a few things to think about for other spots

From a personal point of view i hated your 3-bet here. I was really looking for a spot and had just picked up 88 in the sb.I was snap shoving over the original min raise until you came in and i had to fold.

But as far as you play is concerned i cant see you did anything much wrong. You want to be getting it in in these spots.

Talon, I understand if you don't want to say, but do you go all in if Stu just calls on the button?

Tough one. Would have to depend on how i felt about it at the time. Easy decision with only one before me but the second would change it all totally

The only thing I don't like is the 3bet size. If the villain just calls you have left yourself 13bb and a tough decision with the king on the board. I would be tempted to just shove all in over the raise.

Congrats on the 10th place finish though.
