    The Main/Mini Leaderboard is back for 2015 – revamped, revised, and rebooted!

    I’d like to factor in amongst the big boys myself this year, as well as providing some commentary along the way in the form of a weekly review, so that it becomes more than simply numbers in the win column. Poker is a lot of things to a lot of people, but if it ain’t fun, then it just ain’t worth it. Am I right?

    Hopefully, I can run this side-by-side with my own Poker Chat challenge diary, coming to a theatre near you in January…

    So, that being said: may the chips fall in your favour… unless you’re on my table ;)

    In the mean time the 2014 leaderboard must be super close. I saw Matt and Tommy both won mini events during the UKOPS festival, so that's going down to the wire.

    Is it possible to have a monthly one running as well without it being too much additional work for you? I am happy to compensate you for your time with drinks at the next live event we are both at!

    Personally, if Aussie09 can do an hourly one, I don't see why Slippy can't look at doing hourly main and mini tables in 2015.

    2015 – Week One Review (Jan 1 – Jan 7)


    Well, as expected, after only seven days we’re like an old woman’s unmentionables – all bunched up. It’s good to see Aaron Paul’s stunt double lolufold and cash demon style2737 up there amongst the names, as well as more familiar leaderboard entries like TommyD and the tasty chicknMelt.

     

    MattBates is (pun entirely intended) nowhere to be seen at this early stage however, which can only be good news for everyone else who thinks poker is eight parts luck and two parts rigged software… but I’m sure he will be around soon enough to defend his titles.

     

    Of course, the story of the opening week has to be our own RicOrford who pulled a third place in the Rebuy Main Event on the 7th for something a little north of his previous best cash when he made a tenner from a home game he played in 1996. Hopefully now he can afford to buy a few ties for when he hosts the TV show, and perhaps a higher quality of shirt as well… and maybe a brush. A closer shave wouldn’t go amiss either.

    I've got a pretty full plate over these next couple of weeks - got the first part of my qualification on February 4th - so I'm going to try and sneak in an update here shortly.

    The UKPC will be a nice relaxing time for me ;)
