In Response to Re: F.O.S.P OMAHA HI/LO League thursday 2nd february weekly/monthly prizes everyone welcome : LOL at the above (in bold) It was you, that taught me, via the chat box,  while we were playing a game, and I was learning the ropes. That I had to use 2-cards (from my hole cards) to make a hand (the light bulb moment in my plo8 career) so ty for that. LOL DID I, glad to help. I have explained to so many people who usually have ended up on the high low tables by mistake the basics of how to play over the years. Here let me bore you to death with how I learnt 

I started off on betfair and as I was, and still am, useless at holdem found this game called Omaha hi/lo. Didn't have a clue how to play but they had free tables you could play that gave you 2000 chips a day. Problem was everyone went all in every time on the tables you are allowed on with so few chips. I always lost first hand, once had 3 aces in my hand, thought it was great, out I went, I thought WHY. Then after 2 weeks I won, took everyone out. With more chips I could go in the higher stakes free tables, people actually played hands and I learned what to do. In no time at all I had 2 million and headed to the normal paying tables. Betfair changed and the low stakes games all but dissapeared. I was still learning and didn't feel I was good enough to play those so I moved to Sky.

 

I know how hard and frustrating it was for me to work out what was going on especailly with how the low hand worked, so if anyone asks in chat what is going on and how to play I basically tell them unlike holdem where you can use 1 card to make a hand you MUST use 2 and only 2. If there is 3 different cards that are 8 or lower then there is a high possiblitly the pot will be split between the high hand and the low hand.

This is my first month of ever playing in the monthly tournament. I know I only played 3 of the 4 months and as far as I was aware you must count 3 towards the monthly prize so can you please explain why with a total of 38 i was 6th?

yeah sure can, I posted the table with a view to editing once I'd done some other stuff with other sheets and differnet comps

this I have now done and if you have a look at the table again you'll see you're in 3rd, sorry for the confusion, but I have a lot of different sheets and workbooks going for lots of different things, and sometimes I get a bit sidetracked with "life" stuff like family and such

anyways all done now
