Advice please.......

Hi All,

very disapointed today, over 2 days i won 15 £1.15s in a row, (i played a couple freerolls inbetween with a couple add-ons) but was very happy with 15 in a row. Today i have lost 6 of 8 games, losing with AA, KK, AK, top pair, flush draws etc etc. it seems yesterday i couldnt lose and today i cant win. What do other people do when this happens? drop a level? take a break? stop playing for the day?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

if your getting it all in while ahead with these kinds of hands there is no need to stop playing its just the luck (varience) of poker and if you continue to get it in ahead it will inevitably turn around for you.

YES I GUESS, just shoved queens in position while chip leader and was seen by kings, thats pretty much the way my day has gone! lets hope tomorrow will be better

It's always best to think long term, or look at bigger samples in poker. 

Instead of splitting it into a 15 game session and an 8 game session, think of it as 1 big session of 23 games, of which you've won 17 and lost 6. 

This is very good and should give you confidence moving forward. 

Poker, same as all sports will have ups and downs. 

If you are a football fan you'll know that Newcastle recently won 5 games in a row. Before and after that small sample of games their results have been indifferent, and over the overall sample of games this season they have a modest record and are a mid table team, which pretty much sums up where they are at, or what you would expect of them. 

It's the same with poker, more so in fact. Short term your results could look really strange with long runs of wins and losses, but if you look at overall results you'll get a more accurate reflection of where you are at.

A great way of looking at things, thankyou dohhh...just wish you would have used maybe a different team to liken my play to as im a chelsea fan!!! still a little sore regarding that loss  lol
