Hey guys,

Back once again....  (anone else get renegade master pop into their head? no just me!?)  This time I have Stuart Rutter, Master of the poker tables at my side, (anyone else think of He Man... No just me!?) We will be serving you up a decent size portion of live poker from the online tables with a mixture of Cash and tournament coverage.

The Main Event tonight is the Sky Sports Bounty Hunter, all details can be found in the lobby, but if you fancy taking on the legend that is Mr Neil Channing, get yourself in the game..

Turbo Open seats are up for grabs tonight. We are talking about

'Common misconceptions and myths in poker'..... discuss, what were yours, what do people who have never played the game think.....

As always, any questions send them in, any hand IDS, new player shoutouts, selfies... we love them all

Enjoy the show, and my brain, which is on top form today (lie)

See you soon, gl on the tables

Common misconceptions. Surely the most common one I hear is that they think the game is all about bluffing. Famous people before, and me also have repled to the question" Have you made much money bluffing" with the answer "Yes other peoples"

People who have never played are not aware that the game is played 'table stakes'. They have seen The Cincinnatti Kid wherein Edward G Robinson hits a straight flush and pulls more money from his wallet and fear that sitting down at a £20 table could end up costing them their car, house, business, everything really.

    Hi guys, misconceptions. Good one!

I hear all the time about the "Power of Position" and how "Position is Everything".

Whilst I agree that "Position", is in the most part, very useful.

I find it, quite often useful, to be "Out of Position" with premium hands.

This way, I get the "first chance to deceive" by "checking dry flops" with Aces, Kings, top pair, top kicker etc.

It seems to me, to be a misconception, that being "out of position" is always bad!

    Many thanks,

    Graham (StayOrGo)

P.S. One other misconception, certainly amongst my family (non poker players), is that poker is "just gambling" and nearly all "luck", even though it's been my sole source of income for the last three years, so I've been "lucky" for a while now! :=)

Hello Anna and Stuart. Has the year kicked off well for you two?

There was a player called RandomLoner on the TV tables on Sunday. Do you think I can make a tenuous claim to having my first fan?

I probably won't be able to watch the show - Sad times. Someone else will have to irritate you in the chat box, Jeff.

    Have a good one.

    Great Show So Far Guys!

    Common Misconceptions

    1) Poker is Just Luck
    2) Tight is Right
    3) Limping is Always Wrong
    4) Old Guys Never Bluff
    5) The Best Player Usually Wins
    6) You should Always Get It In with AK.

    That's a few for a start!

Common myth is that If you’re a good poker player, you can sit down in the game of your choice and always walk away with more money than you started with.

Truth is Sure, good players will win money over the long run, but over the short term your results will always be in the hands of Lady Luck.

    Today is 15/1/15.

If you flip it round, you get.....15/1/15.

Nothing to add to the show, apart from that. ;)

I heard someone say that You get more bad beats playing online poker than you do playing live poker in casinos and home games.

When infact The cards online are just as random as there are in live games

    Two misconceptions from me

    1) Tikay is as tight of a player as he makes out

    2) There is only one way to play any particular hand

Great minds think alike....maybe! When i read the above i unfortunately did think the same as you Anna and then had to hunt down the "classic track" and other tracks from the era and finally wasted the rest of my afternoon watching classic cartoons from the same era as He-Man and others from my younger days! The last one being the brilliant Hong Kong Phooey. Thankyou, i have achieved a lot this afternoon LOL. Enjoy the show.Cheers Dave.

    Hand from main event  (862,075,720)

DoDo we think river is a good spot to bluff, and do we prefer a small bet or a jam? Considering we've raised UTG and draws missed, if he does have a weakish Q he might fold to a bet as we are repping a strong range? And if he has higher cards drawing to a flush he folds anyway
