    Once in a game of monopoly I threw a 7 (would you believe it!!) to land on mayfair and bust me. Every fricking time when they had more money than me!! I don't think I played monopoly after that game (well, at least not until I played drinking monopoly on NYE!)

    Last night in the casino. Pocket queens raised me. I had AK. I re-raised. He called. Flop was low. He bet. I shoved. He called. Turn was a king. I won. I had more chips than he did. He was out.

    As standard as it comes - live or online.

    Welcome to the boards.  A quick look at a hand calculator tells me that AJo is roughly 24% to win in that scenario.  So yes, it does happen fairly often, about 1 time in 4.  That's the beauty of poker, in the short term anything can happen but in the long term the strongest hand will win.
