Hey you lot!
Your live show is coming up from 7pm til midnight tonight, and there'll be a mix of cash and tourneys on the show. I got excited at the thought of another ladies night on 861 as us two Brighton girls get to have fun on the Sky Poker sofa tonight, yep, it's me and the amazingly knowledgable and lovely Jen Mason!
Then I found out that our girls night was being gatecrashed by this bearded villain:
Yes... that is the superb poker blogger, writer and player, Gareth Chantler. He may or may not be sporting his beard tonight. You'll have to wait until later to find out. It's gonna be a fun show! SO, get your questions in for Gareth and Jen, any hand IDs, general poker chat and ramblings all welcome, and we will be giving away a few free seats to the Turbo Open to our fave contributions.
I had the weirdest dream last night... I always have weird, really vivid dreams, and they often turn out to be nightmares. Last night I dreamt that I was at an extreme water park where there were sharks and crocs in all the pools at the bottom of the slides, inevitably sliding to your death. And to make matters worse, I decided to take my watch off before sliding down and ended up losing my watch before the slide to death. Tragic. I have a weird brain. So make me feel more normal and share your actual dreams you've had about poker...
Tell us your weird and wonderful poker dreams...

Absolutely delighted to win the Team Sky Poker tournament promotion this week!
Really looking forward to representing Sky Poker at the UKPC, and thanks again to all involved at Sky, for coming up with yet another, wonderful promotion!
Could you also give a shout out to all those who have supported the Tournament Leader Board charity initiative that I set up at the start of the year.
So far a staggering £1,885 has been pledged!
Would be great if we could get to £2,000 by the end of the month. New competitors have just two days left to enter.
See the thread on Poker Chat or message StayOrGo for more info.
Cheers,
Graham
P.S. Hope to see you at DTD again Jen, we had a nice chat in the "food" queue at one of the SPT/UKPC events a year or two ago. I don't expect you to remember :=) (Lovely Lady and great Ambassador for the game)
gareth? is that not perez hilton?
I finished 2nd in the same tournament and was on his table for a while.
It didn't bother me at all, from an etiquette perspective, but he did himself no favours.
In addition to the points you guys made, it was also quite clear he was always going to fold his blinds, and if he did call pre flop, he would nearly always face a continuation bet, as everyone knew it was highly likely he would fold.
So like you say, unless he needed to ladder to pay his rent, go for the win!
For me personally, unless it is a massive prize pool. I just go for the win all the time. This way people can't use bubble fear or ICM consideration to my disadvantage, and I can exploit their "fear of getting knocked out."
However at other stages of my "poker life", if my bankroll was not great, I have fallen into this trap. So I understand where he is coming from.
Cheers,
Graham
i'm beginning to think that spending so long in the hous bored can be a bad time to play poker. during the last couple of days i've started going out and when i return back home, i start feeling nice and relaxed, and my poker game feels much calmer.
What i'm thinking of doing now is go on a small walk more frequently inbetween my poker sessions.

Q. having been played the way it has, can i make the fold or would it be too tight?also could i also ask, should i be making larger bets on the flop and turn to avoid myself getting into this spot in the first place?
