hi graham,
thanks for the compliment in your note.
i looked at this task to see what is possible and to decide which solution would be best. i thought about what can be done, whether i could do it by adjusting my spreadsheets and/or maybe there is some fantastic solution.
however, the outcome is that it would be best achieved by a very simple spreadsheet and manually inserting the wins and using the spreadsheet to multiply by 10pts, 7pts etc.
the reason for this is that you (only) have 18 people to look for and (only) four events a day. in january, there have been (only) 12 wins. to automate this would actually be more work than continuing with a manual system. this is because there are so few events to record each month.
if i were doing it, i would simply tally the wins on a bit of paper. insert the numbers into a spreadsheet to make it look nice and publish. this is exactly what you are doing already. there are too few players and too few events to make it worthwhile looking to automate things more.
i spent an hour thinking about wonderful sexy solutions. at the end of the hour i know that you have the sexiest solution already.
cheers man.
Appreciate it aussie.
Cheers,
Graham
