A crowd gathers around the table

in seat 2 Chinese Frankie is jabbering excitedly, like a budgerigar in mating season

    one their backs

    Vasile Cosmin Stancu...Aces

    Khan....Queens

Ryder, the last person to put the full stack in Ace-King

    the board runs out

8-Q  (Ooooooooooooh says the rail. cheep cheep says Chinese Frankie)

    8

    J

river Ace (aaaaaaaaaaaaah says the rail, on its own rollercoaster of emotions)

Vasile Cosmin Stancu trebles up to one of the big stacks, Khan very short, Ryder very short

    this is the showdown aftermath

    high roller

Steve Warburton out 9th, Taffy Bacon turned a straight with Q-9 against a short-stacked small pair

Stuart Fox has just shoved all in on the turn of A-10-4-J two clubs and Bacon has folded 4-5cc, unshown but spoken

Johnson looks to be the short-stack

Gomez, Bacon and Cimbolas the chip leaders

here is the final in action

we are coming up to the long break after 6 levels. dinner awaits

    walking around the ten tables...

Chinese Budgie limps the small blind unopened and calls a raise from the big blind Karl Guinness

    Q-7-2

    Budgie check calls

He then shoves 23,000 in on the 5 turn

    Guinness folds

Frankie shows Aces. Aces are good for you, but not for Guinness

    --

    on another table

Adam Ford raises and Jareth East three bets

    call

    6-5-K

    check bet call

    5

    check bet call

East shoves on the 8 river

Ford excalims "oh f&^*R%^RTF ****, you are bluffing"

    and folds with disdain

    East shows him....what? the 3h

this didn't improve Ford's mood much

    --

Chris Kyprianou and Senh Man Ung are all in pre

Kyprianou has shoved 16,000 at 500-1000 with 9-9 and ng has called in the big blind with 10-10

Kyprianou is half way across the room seconds after the 5-6-10 flop

he's not there to see the K turn

and he's not there to see the 9 river

    high roller

the two chip leaders clash on the bubble

    cimbolas raises

gomez three bets in the small blind

    cimbolas 4 bets to 120,000

    call

    9-6-3 all spades

    check

    cimbolas leads

    gomez check raises

    cimbolas shoves

    call

the rest of the table looks on expectantly

    gomez has Kings

Cimbolas has Kings including the king of spades for the freeroll

the turn and river run out 4-4 no spades

    "phew" says Gomez

everyone loves a chopped pot. Except if you are the four other players
