Ive always been a big fan of wenger,but now I think its time for him to start thinking of ways to spend his retirement.
Last night was a perfect illistration of this hes got away with under performing for the last decade because quite correctly Arsenal have been concentrating on paying of the staduim costs But over the last couple of seasons he has spent big but seems stubournly obsessed with buying the same type of player.
he has a squad of faboulusly talented players but no scrappers if you look at the players avaliable to him in midfield
they are all the same.
His great teams were always fiercly competetive with real leaders all over the pitch
If you look at the other top teams even in the preimer league
city have zabaletta,kompany,fenraniniho,fernando and milner
chelsea ivanovic,terry,matic,ramires and even costa
ALL of who are nowhere near as skillful as Arsnal squad and most of who cost lest the 1/2 an Ozil(who to be fair is a fantasic player and seems to be the medias fall guy for all arsenals short comings) but are essential to any title winning side.
so what should he do?
