Just a reminder, Viva Las Vegas is now up & running, & there are a selection of ways to qualify for a trip to Las Vegas, including Promotions via Cash Games, SNG's, Freerolls & Satellites.
For the satellites, there is a special "Vegas" tab, which enables quicker & easier navigation to all the various satellites.
All the various details & packages are on the Promotions page, or you can link directly as follows.....
A £3.70 Vegas satellite is due to start in 2 minutes & so far only has 2 runners. I've no idea if there is a minimum number of entrants for it to run, but it has Late Reg so there might be some value if it runs. (States "1 seat guaranteed into tonight's Vegas Qtr for every £17 in the Prize Pool").
Surprised how much negativity there is in this thread. I know that I won't win a seat doing any kind of rake race, so I always had it in my mind I was only going to try and win a seat via satellites. I'm not sure what people were expecting. You can't expect to go to the WSOP main event on a freeroll.
Like Nutter said, some people put in crazy hours and they should be rewarded/looked after. One person I spoke to at the UKPC once accumulated 126,000 points in a month. You think giving a player like this a little extra for spending that much money on the site is unfair?

Although thanks to the generosity of Sky, 3 people will do! (ok, 25pts required, but still!)
I think Sky would have gotten less grief if they hadn't added the prizes for SNG/Cash and just had the standard satellite structure that a lot of other poker sites operate, with 15 less packages on offer overall. Although that's the trouble they blatantly should expect for being so kind to their non-MTT playerpool
ps seems like a day-off to play morning sats is the way forward based on Tikay's post on number of runners for the games run so far!

It's the very nature of us poker players to leave things until the last minute, so there may be great value in trying to qualify early.
There are routes for almost anyone & everyone to qualify, & Vegas is the greatest thing ever for any enthusiastic poker player, I can't emphasise enough how wonderful a trip to Vegas is.
Good luck to everyone who wants to try & get there with Sky Poker.
Just a little piece of advice for people checking/booking flights to Vegas (or to anywhere tbh).......
Having worked in a friends flight booking/travel agents (when the golf wasn't so good !!!!!), if you're just looking to get an idea of the price use a spread of dates(or the whole month option)because the more people who check on the actual dates, the more inflated the price becomes. The airlines and flight booking companies realize that a big event is going on, and keep the prices high. Sadly the prices also do go up the closer to the date it gets. You will almost certainly get better value travelling away from the actual dates of the tourney (if you can spare the extra time) or probably thru a package holiday in a cheap hotel on the outskirts of Las Vegas...... you obviously don't have to stay in the hotel of the package holiday....... (but the wife can !!!!!!!)
Happy Hunting and GOOD LUCK to everyone in their quest to get to VEGAS
Now for THE most important Q! Will you be chaperoning Tikay? Isn't "chaperoning" a lovely word? I always think of sheperd & sheep when I see it. Posted by Glenelg
oooh - chaperoning
Love that word.
I am already a fashion shepherd, of course, as everyone knows.
As to Vegas, Sky Poker are currently, to use their jargon, developing their plans for Viva Las Vegas, including how they will look after the players in Las Vegas. In fact, I was up at the Leeds Mother Ship yesterday, & the matter was discussed at length.
Rest assured, those who get to Las Vegas WILL be well looked after, & I'm 100% confident they'll all have a great time, no matter who is in Team Chaperone. It's not yet been 100% finalised if Team Fashion Shepherd will be part of it, but it's possible.
Pretty sure it will all be decided within the next week, & if you keep an eye on this thread, it'll be communicated here.
Viva Las Vegas Freeroll Trivia To enter last night's Freeroll, players needed 25 poker points. The Freeroll had £5,200 worth of prizes, & 861 players entered the Freeroll. The "freeroll value" was therefore some £6 per player. Posted by Tikay10

Morning Tom.
Yup, £6 per player is an extraordinary freebie by any standards.
"Product placement" is really quite something these days, Tom - they even have an Annual Award ceremony for it, a sort of Mini Oscars ceremony.
The biggest winners were "Apple", who don't pay for it, as such, but do give the Production Teams & Crew large numbers of free Apple Products. The commercial world works in so many ways.
Anyway, we'd better not get too much off-topic, or we'll be in trouble with Suit City.
Hope you are recovering well from your recent ordeal.

Not sure if this link will work, but it should be HERE
Or, to save you looking, you currently sit in 30th place.
EDIT - That link does not QUITE work, but it takes you to the Promo Page, then just press the "accordion" which says......
"How can I win the weekly Cash League"
The Leaderboard is there. Probably. Ish. Mostly.
Don't forget, the first £3,200 Viva Las Vegas semi is TONIGHT (Not Sunday, as we are used to seeing).
It has 10 seats guaranteed into the £3,200 Final on Saturday 28th March.
So far, 41 runners are in tonight's Lobby. Direct entry is £77, but there are a ton of feeders & satellites to get in at lower cost.
These are the 41 in so far. Good luck to everyone tonight.
