Last 2 tables of main tonight, 10 left. Can I fold pre? Everyone seemed pretty tight and a 3x UTG just looked really strong. I saw 99's and thought I'm not folding - and just shipped w/o really giving any time to re-think my 99's after UTG had opened. I just think vs a range of AQ+,77+ I only have 40% and with no money invested I should fold.

Had been mostly a short stack throughout and was getting enough steals through so didn't feel in too much danger despite being quite short now.

Thoughts?

I know exactly what you mean. Over a usual min raise its a standard all in but with a 3x we now know we are getting called almost always.

I think you can add KQs and AJs in your range as people can be loathe to fold them and also don't want to play it out of position.

It's very close I assume and I would make my decision based on how this guy has been playing. Without reads I think 99 is too strong to fold in the six max format.

Whats the worst hand you think he has here..

Blatant ICM decision.  w/out any FE at all and 0 chips committed i very likely pass

Yeah as above I think with 10 left, no FE and against the range I'd expect, it's gotta be a fold... whether I do that in game is another matter ;)

I think AQ+ and 77+ is pretty accurate, may even take out some of the underpairs to ours 99 (7s and 8s) which obv makes matters miles worse. Think it's a fold anyway.

cant see stack sizes, could villain raise/fold?

If you say the table has been playing tight I would narrow the range to 10+ or AJ+ so either dominated or flipping. I would fold, but i'm not half the player you are Ivan so maybe I should take note. ;)
