Surprised you left off the hand vs me! Though I assume you turned your hand into a bluff on the river...

Some pretty unfortunate run outs above. The A8 hand is particularly ul! Think the 22 one is a fold, though very hard (poss nigh on impossible) in game.

Nearly did, but guy probably plays majority of 2pairs the same with it being a BH

I had some more bad hands but decided not to post the busto ones. The 88 hand I decided I was never folding on the flop and probably had the nut best run out without hitting the straight or set, after flop check check it was quite hard to see how I was beat.

Had another one with AsJx and it came 3 spades with board paired, for a 2 of spades to come on the river and the guy housed up. Funny thing was the guy flatted my value bet.

I was going to post saying I thought 22 was a fold then changed my mind but actually it probably still can be! We're only beat by 33 and 45, but there are a lot of 45 combo's compared to 2 pair hands and the only 2 pair hand he plays like this is AJ (which some of the time might raise pre) - but there's less AJ combos overall. So against a good player I can and definitely would find the fold but vs unknown, I prob sigh call. Don't understand the ship tho unless you thought he had a lot of worse hands?

I remember playing live once in my local rileys which held poker. My opponent bet river and my hand was basically a bluff-catcher. I called river which would have left myself pretty short had I been wrong. I can't remember how short - maybe 6-8bb. Guy next to me was incredulous - saying I called most of my stack off to lose then I may as well shove. I politely explained to him that there was no point in shoving since my opponent wasn't going to fold any hand better than mine with what I had left and what was in the pot. But he was having none of it, insinstent that I had made a terrible play by calling off my stack to lose. My call was correct tho!)

The point of this story is: Just because calling will leave you very short, doesn't necessarily mean you should shove. If your hand doesn't have /> 50% against villains betting (and calling) range then there is no point in shoving. You can still play a 6bb stack... couple of double up's and you are right back in it.

Unlucky on the rest of the hands! That's some run bad.

This came straight after the straight flush ouchies and the JJ<Ax run out, may be -ev but I had had enough lol. Usually would flat but idek even thinking about it feel its quite close.

Do think particular villain can have a few worse hands so max value or early night in bed :-D

Yeah the 22 is unfortunate, and if you say the villain just treats any random 2 pair as the nuts then fair enough, though I still think there are merits to folding the river. Just think you're gonna get shown 45/33 so often given the circumstances (limped multiway pot, checked round on flop, villain raises into 3 of you on turn etc etc)

Regarding our hand, perhaps I'm wrong but surely when you jam the river you get called when beat and fold out any hand I might bluff the river with. Without going into too much detail, I'm never calling you with worse than 88! Maybe you have a read I might hero you with ace high ;)

Brilliant bit of analysis, will definitely consider this in future, as played I would have shoved over the river bet too, from now on i'll think a bit more first :)

and then 43mins later you take me out of DTD2 with AJ>JJ - how is my luck running!

as for the 22 hand, as per ivan the shove seems pretty pointless, although i doubt i could fold in game as described

I really don't think pocket 2s is a fold there. I know I'm guilty of being nitty at times, but surely you're beating far more than you're losing to in this one.
