Thought I'd open you your OWN team thread.

You have no need to thank me :)

Yuk, I did it with the intention of getting rid of you off ours - not to help you! :)

how about an Invitational night next Monday
team Slippy and team Lambert and any others that want to
(but for the monthly normal team memberships count - and if the regular dtd organisers are able to help score it great otherwise we'll just have to back it out)

I'd be happy to guest for team Slippy if he'll have me

I currently have no recruitment process, but I am open to guest stars - rules and criteria yet to be decided.

Grammar is important. Speaking for me. I personally hate tautology, and believe that to infinitive split should be a hanging offence. Consequently, willing to guest for team slippy....

and, it might be important to point out, that, from a results perpsective, rather than a purely linguistic one, you are the first volunteer for his team that actually plays online poker. And it is surely irrefutable that that tautology has to be more preferably than the oxymoron of having a non player in his poker team

    Awesome!

I had a pretty involved drunken discussion about that particular word at Aspers in Newcastle at the live event a couple of months ago.

    Sigh - I lead a sheltered life.

Consider this your first and final warning:

That kind of corruption of the language will get you barred from this thread.

Being married, I live in a "1 woman 1 vote" democracy-hence "control" is not an option for me.

Nevertheless, shall we have a 1-off "Team Slippy" today to berate the perpetrators of Irritable Vowel Syndrome? Anyone else in?
