All the previously highlighted games have been removed, and there isn't a filter for arguably the most popular variant - hu hypers. The lobby looks a mess tbh.
Getting rid of the highlighted ones at the top has been an improvement, I could never see why the £5.50 DYMs were there and not the higher or lower ones. It's not even that was the most popular level either.

When the £5.50 turbo dym was highlighted it was by far the most popular game usually with 7-10 tables running at peak times. The same goes for £10 hu hypers.
The lobby is a mess and at the very least, there needs to be a hyper filter added.
It seems these were only highlighted for a promotion at the start of the year, which was a race based on speed turbp and hypers from £5 to £20 buy in.
I see no reason why these formats and buyins should be highlighted above any other.
However, you have a point that there is no "hyper" filter, which for me is a different issue to highlighting. There should be the ability to filter in or out to make it easy to find the right games for you.
whats happened to turbo dym filter? you must get more people playing turbos dyms than six max speed? i know its only a scroll down to find them but having them in a filter was alot easier an quicker to reg an play. just my opinion
My problem with all of this is that the action has pretty much been killed off. In the last few months the HU SnG had been dry up but now it looks like a graveyard. Even HU regs i asked before the filters were removed comment on how the HU had being drying up in the last couple of months.
One of benefits i saw in highlighted games was that people would flock towards them; it's like if they see someone registered in a tourney they buy, almost a herd mentality. Even the six(max) i would log on and see like 1 full table running but if i were to reg to 1 and another within 40 minutes you would have like 4-5 running. Its the same with with the highlighted DYMs 4 would be running i register more flock to the table and before you know up to 7-8 tables start to running with a short time.
I think a lot of people play SnGs especially the turbos because of they don't like sitting around 1,2,3 hours playing a tourney but rather spend an hour our less playing 5 or 6 STTs.

+1, definitely been drying up, although it is the summer so you have to expect that to some extent, I regged for a £21 hyper on Sunday afternoon and had to wait an hour for someone to join me (i dont even have a great heads up record) and it was double points weekend!! whereas 6 months ago it would be very rare if i had to wait longer that 10 mins

I dont think its been to bad.... As long as ou are registered to 3/4 tables you get a game every 5 mins or so at mid stakes £21 level

That's not correct about hu. If you look at the scope leaderboard half of the top 10 by volume are either regs or semi regs that are HU specialists. Now that creates a problem in itself because certain regs are clogging up the lobby, and recs can only take soo much of being skinned day in day out. That is probably one reason there is less games running, and of course as Jordz has said this is the quietest time of year.
Sky could take a look at other sites that have similar player numbers and replicate what they do, or something along the lines of filter in the following way:
1) Speed and 6 Max Sngs
2) DYMs
3) Turbo DYMs
4) HU Speed and slow struc
5) HU Turbos
6) HU Hypers
This is only a suggestion, something I have knocked up in 5 mins. Perhaps a more suitable solution could be put together with a bit more thought.
They could also limit registration of hu games to no more than 3 at a time, allowing recs to play each other and keep them interested.
Yo yo, So I did actually do a few of the things above earlier ACEGOONER - Turbo DYMs have got their own filter now as have Hyper heads-up tables. I think we do need certain SnGs highlighted, am going to have to base this on popularity. I'm happy to try any number of things this week. Posted by Sky_Dan
Thanks Dan looks good. I hope this will make most people happy.
And the stupid highlights are back. Massive backward step Sky. ` Posted by FCHD
Why are they stupid? They help games run.
The new heading 'speed' for speed 6 max's isn't a good a idea imo. They are quite popular games usually but I've been regged for 30/40 mins now & its not got past 2/6 registered. Maybe they could be put somehwere else?

Could you please tell me what sngs you play ? As I have never seen you playing sngs at the levels highlighted, I searched you both tonight and last night. You are currently playing a freeroll as was the case last night.
Given that many of the players here are in favour of the new layout, would it not be better to leave things and see how they go for the time being rather than jumping on something you dont like personally?
Do many people use the "Quickplay" function to the right of the lobby?
The Quickplay game types don't currently match the top filters anyway.
If not, why not get rid of it and use the space to have the different filter options with tickboxes so that you can tick or untick more than one at a time.
e.g.
Some people may want to see/play normal DYM's + Turbo DYM's, so you just tick both boxes.
I guess it stands to reason that if your normal game was highlighted and then wasnt you would complain.
Yet I guess there are plenty of peope who dont play £5 and above speed/turbo/hypers who dont like them blocking the first page of the general lobby.
Credit to Sky Dan for very quickly acting and trying to improve the lobby - something that will always affect some people negatively and some positively.
My personal opinion is that as long the tabs/filters work properly then only new games or games that have a promotion on should be highlighted.
@Vespa there are some filters you can use (check the box bottom right of the lobby). I for example use the 6 seat table filter to make sure the HU games dont clog the top of the lobby.
Note for Sky_Dan the "speed" filters dont seem to match the names or speeds in use?
