Folding the stone nuts in a cash game.

Playing 4NL yesterday. Effective stack = 150BB

I raise to 2BB from the button with A9 and a passive/station calls from SB.

Flop - QQQ

I bet 2BB which gets called (Pot now 9 BB)

Turn - Q

Villain donk jams about £6 - I snapped without really thinking (but expecting to chop) and had A7.

When we chopped, we both lost money to the rake - so should I fold the stone nuts here, cos I don't think its ever a bluff?

I think when you factor in the rake, he needs to be bluffing about 14% of the time to break even - and I don't think he is.

How much did you lose to rake? You have to factor in you've already invested 4BB's. People do dumb things at 4nl.

In that spot, never folding because there will be enough times in the long run where we win outright.

I did have a curious one though many years back in a 4 way limped pot pre, no action till the river and a Royal Flush on the board.  Of course everyone starts jamming and suddenly if I call $20 I get $19.80 back.  Obv I called, Royal Flush yo.

OK, so I got pretty much everything wrong. It was £6 effective but at 10NL.

I got the hands mixed up and most of the action. I was looking on the wrong site for the history for ages.

    I was drunk of course.

    Thats it anyway:

Yeah I would fold 0% and would advise against any other action

Yeah definitely call. I've been in this exact spot before w/ ace high and quads on board with villian jamming and then being confused why he lost cos 'he had quads' lol.

Seems pretty smart to me seeing as oppo is debating folding the nuts.

Unless you mean he might be shipping any 2, in which case i agree.
