AJo in SB live with 20 bigs

But the BB is a very good aggro player. Just seen him call a river shove with just his 6 paired on an A high flushing board. (and he was right).

I've seen him play but he has only just moved to my left thanks to a table break.

20 bigs is a bit below average. 12 left 6 paid.
Unopened pot what to do?

Expect him to raise with any half decent hand.

b/c makes him the aggressor with position
b/r and I have to call any shove
shove to take away his options
limp for pot control?

not really liking any of them.

I limp the SB and either just play poker if he checks BB or limp/jam if he raises

We dont wanna raise/call OOP from this stack w/ AJo, if we raise it's to GII.

Likewise if he 3bets us we cant re-raise any less than all in

I'd rather limp a suited AJ where we can do more OOP. With 20bb we want to be winning the blinds and ante's, so I'm happy just raise/take it down. And a 3b from villain commits us and AJ is good enough to go with.

min raise get it in v a 3bet, its hard to get dealt a better hand than AJ blind vs blind, if he's aggro i especially like going with it.

I should point out btw, when I say limp, it's because I'd be limping 100% of my range bvb with these stacks unless i thought villian was really fishy then I might just do some stuff that's totally unbalanced.

    Thanks guys
As it was he had KK
but to escape from that I would have to have played way too passively.

    That's very interesting
You limp bvb with your whole range vs a reg?

It is a recent trend, lately players have been more active from the blinds so a way to counter this is to limp from the sb. It does depend on the reg and stack size though.

    Thanks Matt
Was limped into by AKs and AQ the other day live and it did make me wonder. Guess I'll need to be a little more circumspect with my BB shoves.
