Hi please can you tell me when/where you can register and how long rebuys are for =0)
Yeah don't like the sound of the rebuys...could be alot of loose play happening early on. However I'll be down there entering...will only take enough for one rebuy though!
In Response to Re: SPT Luton: Live Super Satellite 5 seats : just a quick question but how come they are doing rebuys????????????????????? Posted by SHAUNY
Hi Shauny,
You have to remember how a casino makes money.
As this is a host casino event and as such has nothing to do with the Sky setup, the casino can possibly make more money for themselves by making it a re-buy.
My advice is to play tight to start with as you wont get many, if any, bluffs through.
They don't make more money from rebuys, the rebuy money will be paid out as cash prizes (as I understand what was posted by SPT). This means, if you bubble and don't get a seat, you could probably win £200+?
Basically they have to sell 5 seats value £500 and privde cheque to Sky for such They thus have to come up with a format that gives them that prize pool, minimum, Put on say a £10 FO and 20 players turn up and they are £300 short A rebuy enables them to bump the prize pool up and not be out of pocket For players new to rebuys the opportunity is there to qualify cheaply. In the rebuy period go in with a budget and stick to it. This might be 1 rebuy and 1 add on, typically. Dont' get carried away. Let others play loose, bluff.. you concentrate on getting paid with your hands Then once the freezeout period starts open up with the image you have built for yourself With a modicum of good luck, you'll not have contributed to a £500+ prizepool much yourself, and will qualify. Yeah thats what I'm going to do mate. Just going to take £50 down there...£20 +5 for registration then try pick the right spot to double up. I should be able to get a good idea on whose going too call off there stack willing to rebuy early on so if Im able to pick up a nice hand then I should get it through...I'll have the spare £20 for one rebuy but thats all I'll limit myself too..
Really do hope I qualify because it's something I desperately want to be a part of! - I'll be down on the actual day anyway to meet people and play a few side games with forum-ers/presenters too.
if they manage to take enough for lets say, 6 or 7 seats, will they pay out the cash or will there be extra seats given? i've played a few rebuys down at luton & if you get on a table with the "right" people it is very easy to rebuy a lot... so much so that when playing the £5 rebuy you need £30-£40 minimum to have a chance. The £10 rebuy they used to have wasn't much better!
Hi guys i have already qualified for luton ,are we supposed to be receiving an email with all the details this week .Look forward to seeing you all Neil

Rebuys for the first two levels
Don't see why people see this as an issue.

The last 5 seats, and your last chance to qualifiy for Luton which is shaping up to be a corker
