Well good first session comprising of 30 games winning 19 losing 11. Struggled early on but really got it together later on winning 9 of the last 10 games. There were one or two tricky players but nothing too special. There seems to be quite a few players at this level that just like to gamble and get the chips in but I settled into it after a while. Another session starting Sunday afternoon. :)

    Running total : Won 19.    Lost 11

    Bankroll: £118

I told you earlier on about Doyle Brunsons quote AJ no point being the 5th best poker player if your only ever going to play the top 4, or something along them lines.

Your a good player bud just your table selection is terrible and I don't mean me obv, but footsie and hotwheals in hilo, yeah you might win the odd 1 but long term your gonna lose versus these lads.

Why not sit first and see who comes to your table for a change ?
Would like to see ya building a roll cause your def good enough imo.
Sorry for hijacking your thread hotwheals.

Totally agree with kag and 1 thing i would add is maybe not as many top heavy hands in multiway pots or when 3/4 still too act.

Gl hottie u will crush this (at least we will get some peace on the pl08 tables and please stay away)

Thanks for the well wishes Churchy :). Right my take on the great game that is PLO8. You can make this game as easy or as hard as you like. Hilo is a game where you need to be very disciplined in your hand selections. Make sure you give yourself the best possibility of winning the hi hand and the lo hand. It's pointless getting involved with hands like AKQJ because if the flop comes AK34 then you really don't know where you are in the hand. Play the percentages, keep it simple and give yourself the best possible chance of winning both pots.

Hey Hotwheals - Good luck with this, great start, looking forward to watching your progress.

Was looking around on Sharkscope the other day and found the most HU wins on the trot is 103 (link below, although mod's may remove... not sure)!!! Give you a couple of months to try and challenge for that!

    All the best

Right as you can see I have tweaked my game format a little in order to keep me interested. I am now allowing myself to play a mixture of standard, speed, turbo and hyper. This way I can mix it up a bit and keep things fresh. Same level and just continuing from where I left off :)

As for yesterday, boy was it tough I played a mixture of £2.10 HU games with very little luck. Winning 31 losing 29 of the 60 games played, which means a £2 loss on the session. The poker gods were not on my side at all with some absolute brutal beats but that's poker and I will dust myself down and go again today :)

Running total: Won 50.    Lost 40

    Bankroll £116

    Morning Gregster,

Something a bit fishy about some of those alleged "streaks".

13 of the top 20 play on one network - "Winning Poker Network". Of those 13, 10 are shown as being quite big losers on that Network, according to SS.

I'd take those "streaks" with a punch of salt personally.

    I'm not a buyer. ;)

    Morning Mr Beast,

How many games do you play at a time?

How do you mentally adjust to the different "pace" of standard, speed, turbo & hyper?

1-2 tables my brain can't take any more than this haha. I find the adjustment quite easy, I actually feel it helps my game, it keeps me interested. Playing one type of game for a long period of time I feel can become a bit boring in time so the mix up keeps things fresh :)

Not a great morning session won 4 lost 6 although I felt I played very well haha. Not where I want to be yet in terms of games won but I will keep plodding away and hopefully the tide will turn.

Running total won 54 lost 46

    Bankroll £111

Scream alert haha. Just cannot get going at the moment played another 30  won 14 lost 16. I'm still confident as I don't feel I'm playing bad at all I am just getting outdrawn a very lot but that's poker and I'm sure over such a long challenge there will be plenty of ups and downs. £5.24 from the weekly rewards cushons the blow a bit but a winning session would be much appreciated haha

Running total Won 68 Lost 62

    Bankroll £109.24
