Don't know about game of the future, it's been around a pretty long time.

There is obviously a lot of people o THIS site that haven't had much dealings with it and are getting into the swing now it has arrived but this is only phase 1, you have to wait for Omaha Hi / Low to arrive yet !

Thats cause you is good at it! Init!

Well Irish, I am rubbish at Omaha MTT, but the four hands I play before I get knocked out are quite exciting lol if that helps.

On a positive note, being as rubbish as I am at MTT Omah, I do get to play more of them.

Omaha is like your girlfriends hot sister.  Exciting, edgy but very high maintenance.

For me, they're more exciting purely because you're involved in more pots! Hold-Em MTT can become monotonous at times so often you're just waiting for blinds to increase before getting your money in - most people know the game aswell so there's little edge to be found! You get to see more flops in Omaha so keeps me interested for longer periods and sometimes just getting dealt four cards as opposed to two gets the heart going...

Robot!! - Wash ur mouth out! How dare u!!

Nah seriously Its alright for half an hour here n there, but its still 90% about the cards, whereas Hold em is player v player! - I find myself sat at an omaha table check calling till I get the nuts then bet pot. My hands r tied, I cnt do anything else. Then I get a card rush, flop quads double up, then spend the buy in Ive just won, trying to flop quads again!

Maybe it's different in  omaha at higher levels!

I played an omaha deebstack the other day for fun, and won, and it was just that, abit of fun. Will nevvvvverrrrr replace NLHE!

Long live the tripple barrell bluff!!! (sore point after last night )

    DOHH

Omaha can be a gret game to improve your holdem skills. I find if you are a bit of a nit (Rock) at holdem then playing Omaha can really open your eyes. Yes you get alot of flushes/ full houses etc etc.. but alot of the time 2 pairs will win in Omaha, if with 4 cards you can still only make 2 pair it shows what hands can win at holdem. I think it really made me loosen up my calling range and understand when my hand is good. Ace high wins more often than you think ;-)

From experience of other sites omaha will always remain a minority sport. And when hi lo comes which is soon im told, that will settle down to attract its own player base which ill be one of. As Charles rightly says omaha does help holdem skills, but I agree with DOHH that it doesnt produce the same one on one battles as holdem
