Am i the only person shocked by the fact,tonights UKOPS ,desptie being a £50 rebuy,is only guaranteeing £10,000??

£50r is out of a lot of players BR so the guarantee isnt a surprise. More surprising is the £110 freezeouts on consecutive Mondays having different guarantees.

Not at all surprised, its a minimum guarantee so if there are buy ins above the value above 10k wont the prize fund increase?

The traffic on sky isnt like other sites.

Well,lets take into account,most players,who do enter,are going too factor in the add on,

double the starting stack,

so they will be outlaying a minimum of £100.

So this will account for 100 players ,at the least.

And i ask you guys,can anybody remember a 8pm tournament on sky,starting with less than 100 players??

I cant.

And this is supposed to be a poker festival??

15 - 18k is not out of reason.... place some of the rake from the tourney into advertising on highstakesdb etc.... should easy make that + a few new accounts to boot

113 entries so far, 15k might make a loss, might not keep your job at sky .

Of course its always hard to say as perhaps a bigger guarantee will attract more, who knows.

I think 10k looks nice, so if it wasnt 10k they would have to stretch it to 15k which could result in a loss and bad business.
