Monday is the new Saturday...

Which means, for the month of February, I'll be on PTP duties on Monday evenings!

And you'll find me at the Pot Limit Omaha cash tables.

I'll be playing two six-max 15p/30p tables between 7 & 9pm - and again between 9:15 and 11:15pm.

I'll let you know which tables I'm frequenting via this thread.

I'll also be posting my write-up of the evening's action (full of random observations and the highlights from the chat box) before midnight.

    I'll be on the Omaha Cash tables myself (on my own account) during the evening, but, in the nicest possible way, I hope to avoid you. I fancy "ego" might bring about a chip train-crash between us!

    PS - Oh, in answer to the question you texted me. No, you MUST use two cards from your hand in Omaha.

    Are you the omaha specialist of the P2P-ers then James? 

    How does this new system work? - Is it to let presenters play the games they are best at, or least specialise in? 

    Trevor is the self proclaimed HI-LO King right?
    Ed the STT pro?

    I wish Monday was the new Saturday, then I would be able to play more poker instead of going out to play darts. God I will be glad when the darts season finishes.

    I think the idea is to allocate a particular game / theme to each night (e.g. Monday = PLO cash; Tuesday = TKO, Wednesday = NLHE cash).  I just happen to have drawn Mondays in February.  Luck of the draw.  Next month, they might put me on Thursdays - which involves playing the £12k BH and the Sports Star HU.

    For the record, I don't consider myself to be a PLO specialist and am sure to be spewing left, right and centre over the next few weeks! :-)

    had my first taste of Omaha yesterday when I accidently entered a DYM thinking it was Texas Hold'em.

    So, I'm at Madeley (5p/10p) and Purfleet (10p/20p).

    So, half-way through - and I'm actually showing a profit!  But that's likely to be wiped out before the end of the evening...

    Thanks to everyone who's joined me at the PLO tables so far, including darich, JPR8, mabsue (who had a shocking run of bad luck), CardGenius, MADMOO, dav1964, SUPERNOVA, SoLack and MYSHARKY (who had a very profitable session).

    Oh, and how can I forget MereNovice - who at 20:32 made a typo error in the chat box.  Yes, I have proof that Vince is NOT a bot!

    Well, as I predicted, that profit soon disappeared - and I ended the evening down one buy-in.

    During my second session, I enjoyed the company of (among others) nutter5932, simonnatur, pokerki951, Machka, BigRed123, stepha1968 and Eire82.

    I also played a couple of big pots against mycroft2.  The first one went my way.  And the second?  Well, here's where all my profit went (published below, with the villain's permission).  I'm happy with my aggressive play pre-flop, on the flop and on the turn.  But, if you feel otherwise, do say!

    Question is: could I have got away from it when mycroft2 shoved the river?  I think the answer's probably yes.  But he's anything but nitty - and I just wasn't a believer...
