worried about brag

won back to back bh mtts today for first time. chuffed to bits. told the missus. she said" so what? your laptop can't harden the coats nail." What does that mean? she's from Scotland.

    Its either something to do with nail varnish or shes from a part of scotland that wast too good at tempering the steel on their coat hangers.

    google didnt help me, maybe if you ask her what part of Scotland shes from ?

    I have heard the saying "your coats on a shoogly (wobbly) nail"

    Maybe it's a derivative of that, if so I would rush out and buy her something g nice :-)

    I cannot give an accurate linguistic justification for this, I just have a feeling that your "missus" thinks you spend too much time on your laptop.

    Hendrik's suggestion for next action would seem advisable.
