Hi all, seen a post in a thread somewhere else, probably in bbv that told the person whynot post the last 10 hands of your Hh rather than selecthands where the person gets it in good and sucks out. I thought this was a good idea and something that i to could benifit from, so at the end of a couple of sessions each week im going to post the last 10ish hands of the session and would like to get peoples thoughts on them. i Think the strongest part of my game is my shoving range at 15-20 BB so will probably leave alot of those out aswell as the hands which are obvious folds pre the 93os etc etc. hopefully you will all get involved and it will help to improve my game.

FYi these are all hands from DYMs i think ill avoid adding alot of information about the plaers to the posts as to do so for 10 hands is gonna be alot of typing, sounless its anything substantial i will just post the hand itself.

Hand 1, should i shove the flop? he hanst got alot of 7,5,2's in his range but assume he will call with short stack with any a, any pair, i dont see that im getting many ahnds better than mine to fold.

I'm far from a DYM expert but I'll just say what I'd do...

    1) Can potentially jam pre but minraise is fine too. As played I fold flop.

    2) Can't see your stack size but yeah looks like an easy fold pre.

    3) I think taking the free flop pre is fine here, keeps in all the hands we dominate and don't really wanna build big pots OOP with AJo in DYMs. I bet turn smaller.

    4) As far as I can see BB has 600 chips so like 4bb? If so, an open fold is fine. Could jam I guess if villian is really bad and isn't gonna widen his calling range due to the fact he has 4bb.

    5) Again can't see your stack size but fold looks good. Can open if everyone is being uber tight but if we got 3-4k+ I'd just sit back and fold.

    6) 3bet jam pre for me

    7) fold pre for me. Most people aint opening light UTG in a DYM off that stack size so wouldn't expect a huge amount of folds if we jam, and expect to be crushed alotttt, and we deffo can't peel pre.

    8) At this blind level open fold is best.

    9) Can potentially raise but I don't mind taking the free flop either. Would play postflop same as you.

    10) Again can't see your stack size but open fold looks good.

J8c is a snap shove for 4 bb IMO, I'd probably be shoving it BVB up to 10bb, and I think you could profitably open shove it for more than that

It's a DYM tho so changes things a lot... any semi competent villian (and a lot if fishy ones that aren't the bad tight type) should be calling us a lot and it represents like 35% ish of our stack so we realllly don't wanna GII and lose which we will do a lot

Fwiw, I realised he technically has 750 cos he has 600 after his BB is in. It's a disaster giving away 750 of our 2100 chips lightly.

Aim of the game in DYMs is to go to showdown as little as possible.

I agree with almost all of lambert's comments, and those I disagree with are trivial eg would've raised a little more/less pre.
On a more strategic level: you seem to be seeking hands to play rather than hands to fold, you're looking for action in Doms,

You're an excellent player but from the hands posted it appears that a more conservative approach overall may eke out those extra few percentage points of Roi

I perused the hands very briefly and, without looking at stack sizes or blnd levels, I don't play most of those hands (hope you can't see my hand history :D ). 34...j8.. they look pretty, esp when Tom Dwan plays them post flop. For most of us, you're looking at fold fold fold and if you've a big hand and low chips shove. John Connor's guide is nit play personified - yet when I follow it I find I win more - when i try to be creative it is a craps roll.

I had 2 tables I stuggled at in past week (finished 5th and 4th in them, won (ie doubled up) every other game - one game a night). Those 2 tables had non regs and when I checked their sharkscopes they were red red red but total psychos pre and post flop.  A 3 or 4 bb raise meant nothing. So when you hit flop you don't know where you stand. If you're in position they bet to you - if you have no hand do you call/raise or what? I should post a few hands to get across point but I'm sure most of us have had this. One maniac/two I can handle. Sit tight, trap and catch. 2 or 3 - it is like rolling a dice and being bet on what it rolls every hand.

Dont play DYMs so may be completely wrong. Also cant see stacks on all hands

    1. Jam pre, as played I jam flop

    2. Fine

    3. Raise pre,as played I check turn. psb seems too big if you are betting

    4. If hes 5bb deep I think jamming cant be bad

    5. Fine

    6. Jam pre, why jam flop if you are afraid to jam pre

    7. fold would be my default, 3bet might be ok, definitely dont call

    8. 34s is a terrible hand shallow, raising may be ok depending on villain tendencies but I'd usually fold

    9. Raise pre

    10. Fine
