Milestone Hand 991,000,00 due tonight?

Was just looking, the current hand number (5pm) is 990,772,600.

So I'm thinking - pure guesswork - this could hit 991 milly late this evening.

    i'll have a go.

    now we have 990 million plus 777,000 hands or so.  forecasting depends on the activity, whether higher than usual or lower.  however, there is a landmark time of 9pm that will help determine the answer.  the hand number at 9pm should normally be 880,000.  if it is, at midnight the hand number will be 990,000 and the 991 millionth hand will be played at 12:20am.

    the trouble is the volume decline into the early hours.  if the 9pm hand is, say 850,000, the 991 millionth hand might happen as late as 11am tomorrow morning.

    if the 9pm hand is 890,000 the 991 millionth hand will be before midnight and could be 11:30pm or earlier.

    after all this, my guess is that the 9pm will be 870,000 and therefore the 911 millionth hand dealt at 1am.

    it will be earlyier than that, as soon as people realise it will hit tonight people will multi table more and we will get there sooner.

    the 9pm hand was 899,000.  things are going a lot faster than normal tonight.  this means that the 991 millionth hand will be well before midnight.  maybe as early as just after 11:15pm. blimey.
