Is it really breaking the rules? If you said in a live game as you shoved 'you guys better fold I have Aces' is that breaking the rules or just messing with your opponents heads, whether you have aces or not. This is a question btw curious. would have just thought it would be considered bad etiquette if anything

If in a live game you said you had aces and were telling the truth, it would be against the rules. If you were lying, that would be fine. (although different casinos will have different takes on this)
Plying a mtt tday - was stating my hands when shoving and showing everytime - people still called me off everytime when I was miles ahead That - is a very strange play but one I like - until I shove QQ pre and get looked up by A8 and loose Funny though :-) Got to do more often Posted by Nuggy962
I have no idea what the Rules are for Online play, but in "Live" play, it is against the rules to disclose the content of your hand (truthfully) during the hand.
Here's the TDA rule.
"Etiquette & Penalties62:No Disclosure Players must protect other players in the tournament at all times. Therefore players, whether in the hand or not, must not:
1.Disclose contents of live or folded hands"
I do know that, Online, it's deemed to be really bad form to do so, whether truthfully or not. Can't say I've ever seen a successful player do it, either.
Had it happen once when the villian stated that he had KK I thought about it didn't believe him and shoved he showed KK luck was with me and I cracked them it didn't make any sense to me to state what he had my thinking was its poker he's bluffing
Can you it when seated with me please? I remember an amazing MTT player doing this for fun years ago... a guy called SCTrojans... I was desperate to find something to call him with. Was pretty gross it was a $109 mtt lol Posted by Itsover4u
Haha thats sick! you are just praying for a hand - but then sometimes - knowing what your up against is scary - like guy says i got J10 - you are holding KQ - know ahead but do you want to risk it pre?

Whilst looking for something else, I just stumbled across this, which is an extract from Sky Poker's "House Rules". ".....Do not announce your cards whilst action is in play......" Posted by Tikay10
Makes for an interesting read them house rules - I particually like the following:
" if a player at your table is using all of their time bank when in a hand every time, please address the issue in a polite way. Most of the time a short string of 'zzzz' in the chat box will work. "
