the gap in number of BB lost calling a value bet and gained from value betting myself must be huge.
you don't win cash from checking you win it by value betting.

What's the worst possible hand? Any 3 or 8 makes a straight. He was calling for the chop.

he might be calling for info,

its bad play from flop to river with bet size imo

i bet neither of you got any bluffs through after that hand

1 thing id like to know is if your bb then how you check to him in small blind, infact you played out of position in whole hand

That's because he has the button and is in position. That was a value bet on the end, not a bluff. It would have to be a bigger bet in order for it to be a successful bluff ;-)

oh you have him in small blind on opening post and dealer button.

i never said it was a bluff mate and its defo not a value bet.

imo poker is a game of making people fold not 'value' betting with j high or embarrassing novices (which i assume villian is here) on a forum.

I fear this thread may have gone completely over your head. Villain is a very good player for the record. This is what HU poker is all about.

"Poker is a game of making people fold" - you must be losing a **** of a lot of value when you hit your flush draws/full houses, but each to their own.

My mistake, thought at the time T8o didn't make a straight, didnt have too much time to post my comment as the bus stop was coming up and didn't read the board properly. Nice value bet nonetheless, makes it even more thin that only one hand can call that you beat ;)
