Had 260 chips left with around 320 people left in, managed to limp into the cash places and was then quite happy to go on to 48th place for £80 .... great little free roll by sky, cant grumble
Ended up no qualification needed - everyone could join whether played previous day / week or even month - one chap on my table had done th ewhole joined on 29th December - played a £22 dym and won, played anther and lost on same day - then just played the freerole for UKPC seat then the freerole last night.... Great promo thouhg -bet no other sites offer a £20k freerole just like that! Was epic and was a really friendly mtt Posted by Nuggy962
In Response to Re: Billionth freeroll : yes something fishy going on. when I checked on fri eve to see what night the freeroll would be I was already registered. 528 players were, so I assumed everyone who qualified was pre-entered. on sat eve, I wasn't registered and had to re join. so are we to presume sky just changed the rules on the night to reward everyone or is it a glitch? and whats with this statement that new players who qualify for the UKPC will have to be who they said they were, when its perfectly ok to donate your seat to someone else? Do T&Cs only apply when sky wants them to? Posted by suzy666
Nothing fishy about the promo Suzy - and as for last sentence, no one who is not who they say they are will be able to play in the live event and if was to turn up as Mary when rig entered as Jane, account would get suspended too.

FWIW I did enjoy the tournament.
All Mary would need to do is ask Jane to ask cust services to transfer seat to Mary.
Seats are transferable as long as customer services 'think' theres nothing untoward going on, on a case by case basis, making a mockery of the T&Cs as evidenced elsewhere on this forum.

There was different criteria to qualify. From memory if you were in priority or won a main/mini you qualified along with some other circumstances. I believe these players were pre regged and then others had to reg. This is the way I think it was organised by Sky but I may be wrong.

Hi Mr Suzy,
I'm, not clear what point you are making at to "something fishy", which implies "dishonest". Sky Poker don't do dishonest stuff. Mistakes, yeah, plenty, but mistakes are not "fishy".
There were all sorts of behind the scenes issues this weekend, many of which the player base were not aware of, so yes, it's quite likely that some players were able to Register without meeting the points criteria. That's regrettable, but not disastrous. There was nothing "fishy" about this, it was just a glitch. It was not ideal, but speaking personally, spreading the love a little wider is something I don't begrudge. The final value per player was still £13, so that's pretty tidy, I'd say.
I don't really understand your point about UKPC qualifiers. Sky Poker don't change T & C's willy nilly, but if there is good cause, yes, they are flexible enough to change things if they see fit. The T & C's do state this. There was an unanticipated clash of 2 Promos, one being a Prio Promo, which disadvantaged the players, so after due consideration & process, they did change the Promo criteria.
As to new players who qualified via the New Player Freeroll, as I've written several times, there will be no flexibility on the T & C's, the players who qualify via that route will need to prove who they are by ID before they can play. They won't have any ability to sell, transfer or get the cash.
If you can give me more clarity on what is troubling you, I'll try to give a more focussed reply.

You are correct - the winners of the 11 "Milestone Hands", plus various others - Main & Mini Event winners for example - all earned auto entry, & may have been pre-registered. For the vast majority, it was necessary to Register.

Hi nuggy,
I never replied to this over the weekend as I needed to see what the Office had to say, so I wrote to them yesterday.
I've now had a rely from Mr Top Bloke - Head of Poker & Operations Manager no less.
He is quite adamant that there was not an ability for players to register for "free".
There WAS a reduction in the Entry Criteria, though.
This is a bit convoluted, but Billy was expected to land late evening on Thursday, with the Freeroll always scheduled to be "Next Day".
However, Billy eventually sailed into port at around 0030, which caused some furrowed brows, as that's a bad time to draw the line, as measuring those eligible from 0030 to 0030 is really awkward. Also "Next Day" now became Saturday.
So, for a variety of operational reasons, they reduced the Entry Criteria from 50 points in 24 hours, to 50 points from Thursday to Saturday.
Be good if we could move on now. There is a 9th Birthday Freeroll tonight ( £999 ), & an additional £5,000 Freeroll tomorrow, the latter with zero point requirements. The Rewards Freeroll ( £2,100 ) & the UKPC FR ( 2 x £240 ) continue on weekday nights, too. Finally, this Saturday is the first of the 4 x £5,000 "Five-a-Day" Freerolls. Enjoy. Posted by Tikay10
