In Response to Re: Playing the UKPC? Then you may need to read this. : I'm thinking about the Friday rather than the Saturday so I'll get there in plenty time and come see you, just going to travel from Edinburgh that morning. Maybe not the smartest move playing in a field with a much higher % of pros but the experience will be great.

    That's fine, see you Friday.

In Response to Re: Playing the UKPC? Then you may need to read this. : I dont know if you remember Tikay, but I had this problem last year in the 6 max, my drivers licence had expired, they let me play but with the proviso that I had to provide further evidence the next day (this was an obvious dilemma given I dont stay round the corner) I bust before day 2 so it was never tested.

Oops, I had plum forgotten that.

Anyway, I've written to DTD, lets see if they can come up with an alternative.

Yes, it was tough a tough decision, but I just couldn't justify the petrol money for a round trip to retrieve my passport. I went for a Nandos instead.

You are most welcome, Carl, & your Post alone justifies the thread.

You coming by car, or one of your vroom vroom motorbikes?

    Afternoon Vinny.

They plan to play 15 x 40 minute Levels, plus 2 or 3 breaks,  each of 20 minutes, & a buffet break of 45 minutes or an hour, so call it midnight, give or take a bit.*

    * Assuming you survive, that is. ;)

Too cold, wet and salt on the roads for me to be out on the 'cycle. I'll be in the car with my lovely heated seats,Tx.

Hi Tikay, I had to change my address at my bank last week. I took in my passport and drivers license but both have infact expired in 2014! The bank ticked me off but did accept them as I also had proof of address. Do you think this will be OK, or is there any other photo ID I can get before Saturday? What is the parking like please? If there is parking how much is it for the day say? Roughly what percentage of the field on Sat make it through to the Sunday??? I've seen Daniel Negreanu take a mobile home to these events. Infact didn't he show you round it at the WSOP??? Is there a designated area where people can bag it  down in the back of the motor??? (Someone had to ask :) ) TIA

    Hi Rafa,

I wrote to DTD, as promised, & below is their reply, this is simply a C & P of the relevant part.

"Hi Tony Ideally we need valid ID. He can apply for a citizens card (can get one in less then 48hrs just pay a bit more)

It's management discretion if we let him in on the day, if it's obviously over 18 and can bring birth certificate and bank card (and expired licence and passport) that will help his cause :)...."

So that's a bit awkward, as I can't promise anything, & Sky Poker have zero sway in this matter, it is entirely at the discretion of DTD, as the event is being held under their GC Licence.
