if you wanted me to follow a round of the action, which table would you choose? i will check back when i return to the laptop and pick a table
On a perambulation of the four remaining tables I saw Alex Goulder eliminated by the wonderfully named Gang W ang, A-2 against Kings all in pre when short. A superfluous King on the flop for good measure
Antoine Saout Eliminated by Richard Gryko. Gryko raised Jacks UTG and a short-stacked Saout shoved fives in the big blind, called and no hlep
Brammer appears to have lost chips, possibly to Keith Johnson who has chipped up substantially before Jack O'Neill limped the small blind playing 70,000 at 2,000-4,000
Brammer set him in from the big blind, instant called by 7-7
Brammer flipped 2-2
Sevens held on a paint heavy board and Brammer's stack is now back in the pack

still got an eye on the high roller which is down to two tables and its nitty gritty time
16 left, 9 paid
9th gets £5k, which pays for the week
10th gets nothing
Keith Johnson, who is known as the "silver pigeon" on behalf not only of his crow's feet but his silver hair too, is the chip leader
Keith, when he is not being Mr Benn, is a mild mannered asccountant from Nottingham who plays high stakes cash and MTTs. Had a big result in one of the EPT Dublin events a fortnight ago, a six figure score
He set a lot of the young nottingham players who have emerged in the last few years (deadman, goulder etc) on their way by staking in in the early days

Neil looks down at 10-10
your move is?
so Neil folded
He then played 3 hands in a row, winning the last with Aces and is on 60,000
the table thinks he's busy
He raises Ad Td UTG+1 to 2,000
Richard Pearson makes it 5,600 in the big blind
Neil calls
Th 6c 3d
Neil calls 6,000
4d
Pearson sets him in
Neil has is playng 44,000 at 600-1200
i think he has 15 outs? 9 diamonds, 3 aces and the last two Tens
about a 30% shot and he's getting about 2-1 off the top of my head, so not qute the odds perhaps (?) but a big old stack f he hits
but he calls, misses and is out
Pearson had Jacks, no diamonds
Down to 6x bb he found A-K, very nice, shoved and got looked up by J-9 in the blinds
Ryan flopped a King but lost to a straight
7-8-4 saw more action, Brammer led, O'Neill raised, Brammer set him in and nsta called
Both had Aces
9 are pad, 1st prize? A whopping £55,000
chip leaders are
Chris "you again" Brammer 450,000+
Enzo Del Piero 300,000+
Alex Zeligman 300,000+
also still in and in ok shape Alex Goulder, Ben Vnson, Ben Winsor, Dan Charlton etc
shaping up to be a good one later on
average is 148,000
blinds go 2-4k
watching the fun Brammer/Saout/Gryko/K Johnson table just before the break
Saout 3,000 UTG
Gryko 8,500 UTG+1
Back to Saout who pulls out the old UTG limp-shove from the 1989 poker textbook, and gets through
--
next hand
Gryko 7,500 UTG
Richard Pearson calls in positionj
Saout comes along in the big blind
all three check down Ts Qd Kd 9s
Saout leads 30,000 on the 8s
and gives it the gallic quizzical look as both fold on the river
