In Response to Re: 5 a day, sat out tables, moan thread : I've worked out the maths. If I have 2 veg from 9, then I'm 22% to lose weight. That's from the Bigbluster school of maths so its watertight.

So... 2 tables left, 12 million chips in play but the blinds have stopped at 50,000/25,000. No incrrease in them for what feels like an hour. It has become a stalemate

A very profitable stalemate in your case - congratulations.

Yes, a free £100 is brilliant. Thanks very much Sky

I see the game ended at half 3 which is much earlier than I thought it would with everyone playing so deep. Still much later than I would like to play poker.

Free money, away players and we still moan (I don't mind away players...) but I'd still like to know whether the blind structure stalling was planned or accidental and, if the latter, are Sky going to look into it?

For a free £100, I think I'd happily stay up a bit later on a Saturday night, to be honest. ;)

The 7 minute blinds was deliberate, to help it "play better", as players often complain that 3 or 4 minute blinds are too fast, which may be fair comment. Given how much money was on the line, I think that was a good call.

The Capped Blinds at 25,000-50,000? I'd say that was a mistake, perhaps it had not been realised that it would reach that level. It may even be - I don't know, just speculating - that the software does not have blind levels bigger than 25,-000-50,000. You make a fair point there.

I may be wrong, but has Sky Poker ever previously had an MTT with north of 3,500 runners? I can't think of many, if any. Last night's two Freerolls may have been the biggest MTTs on Sky Poker ever, measured by number of entrants. And there were 2 of them, 10 minutes apart.

I do confess I was a little nervous, but I know as little as any other players here about what Sky Poker's software can or can't cope with. I was 6 tabling DYM's all evening, & the software was behaving exactly as it always does, with no apparent (to me) problems. Apart from the fact I lost a whopping £42.50 in pursuit of x2 Reward Points. Sort it out, Sky. ;)

Yes, the 7 minute blinds were much better - spot on

It was a good promo - very accessible - and I really enjoyed it.

Just an odd ending last night but I am sure Sky will review it and make improvements if possible

    Cheers

Yup, & there were definitely a few lessons to be taken from last night, & I'm sure they will be.

Here's a prediction for you. Promos similar to this will likely have an Opt In function in future, that will help solve some of the issues. What's the betting that Opt-In will upset many players? At least, when that happens, we'll know the answers.
