Cheltenham bet query, refund for losing horse, but terms say except favourite or second favourite

So what happens if I bet on the favourite and it loses, do I not get refunded? What if I dont even know who the favourite or second favourite will be. I dont bet on horses usually just seen the promo, but if someone can make sense of it i'd apprecaite it.

if you bet on the favorite by name ie red rum to win you will get the offer.

but by betting on the unanamed favorite or second favorite you wont.

by unnamed it means the horse that is favorite at the start of the race not nessacerily the horse that is the current favorite in the betting.
