Really glad that the suits have finally see sense on both the above.

Taken from the new terms and conditions that come in force from mid-day today....

Rule 56a Please note that there will now be NO rake taken on any rebuy tournaments on Sky Poker. All rebuys/add ons will be strictly at base rate minus the rake. This will come into effect for all rebuy tournaments from today.

Rule 99. Any Player who plays sats who is already qualified for the target tournament will have their winnings withdrawn and entry fee refunded. This will EXCLUDE all in sats. All Vegas sats in April onwards will also follow these guidelines.

About time I say!!

Alan, on the ball as ever concerning sky's rule changes. I will now be playing all rebuys from today.  Also, one in the eye for all the vultures who steal our valuable seats, to swell their coffers with cash. I will play all satellites today in celebration.

With regards to the sattelites im a little confused as I thought you couldnt change a sattelite win for cash, so why would players continue to play sattelites for a target tournamt if they are already qualified?

    Thanks,

    Tim

    Dear OP....

You have used the word 'end' twice in your heading.
You have also used bad English in this sentence - Any Player who plays sats who is already qualified. It should read 'who are'.

I also don't believe a word of it. Ban him Sky!!!!

The rake in rebuy/add on is a no brainer. I would have thought it to be illegal but as things stand in todays world of poker who knows. The gaming board was created to look after the punter but now it seems to look after the industry.

The second item, rule 99 makes little sense to me. Maybe im reading it wrong. You can play sats but if you win SKY make the profit on your winnings. This seems worse than raking rebuys and add ons and maybe illegal. A simple message when trying to enter such a sat "Cannot play this tournament as you are already qualified for the target tournament" would suffice. It would appear sky want to change a rule but worried on impact of this decision as many sats, particularly early in the day would just not take off and/or certain guarantees may not be met. The exclussion of the all in sats is absurd on the very prinicipal of the mattercontract/breach of contract. but again since mostly played by the same regs it would have a detrimental effect on numbers.

Sky have good reason to be worried on rule 99 as i believe this certainly will have a detrimental effect on sat numbers and thus target tournament numbers. Objectors are vocal.Non objectors tend not to be. Illusory sampling. If sky tripled in siaze and numbers then this issue may appear a lot smaller.

Is rule 99 effective from today ? Have all patrons been notified. I can see cc getting busy later today.
