this is far from perfect play in a dym, why are u shoving and forcing the other guy out of the hand, when ur only goal in this situation is to knock the all in guy out of the game and cash.

I agree with Lee, why on Earth shove here, keep big stack in for two chances to bust shorty, if the big stack decides to bet (no need to but some do) you have equity in the hand and you may pick up some 'cushion' chips if shorty wins.

Is there not an argument for taking the initiative in the hand on the flop when i`m 95.96% favourite to take out shorty and cash?

Didn`t want big stack involved ,

    My bad i guess..

You didnt know you were 95% favourite, 2 against 1 and checking down is better. You only flopped 2 pair far from being the nuts.

I assume your annoyed that K3 got ahead of you.

what use does shoving that flop have other than making it all the more easier for him. Jtongue7 might have been holding Kx or even AK but you have got him to fold the flop meaning your on your own.

I don't play DYM's myself but there is definitely no reason to shove here. You gain nothing by pushing the big stack out. If he wins the pot you cash so it doesn't matter if he outdraws you. if he bets point we call and just hope shorty doesn't win. Him winning this pot is just as good as you winning the pot. You can consider yourself unlucky to be outdrawn but checking here is the best play imo. Imagine big stack has AK here, you just burned the win. Or he has Kx inn which case  the shorty would win fewer chips and you'd have a better chance of cashing
