If you knew he was a frequent bluffer then you've did the right thing. go larger preflop or do a pot size cbet if your still sure that he'll call that way more chips are commited to the pot and make these calls more easier.

What if it didn't come the straight would you have asked for advice then?

Thanks for the advice mate. I understand what your saying about the straight... If It didn't hit I would not be asking for advice but I felt I played the tourney really well and this one hand really done my head in. I never moan about bad beats and getting done by something like this as there's many swings. I just don't know if the all in on the turn was right, thanks though

Looks fine, just a very unlucky river.

You are only really beating a bluff when he makes the shove, a raft of hands beat you. Although that is not to say it is a fold, if you are going with a read and have him on a bluff then the call is fine. You have the option of putting in 7k to win the existing 18k in the pot; you can work out roughly how often you need to be correct that this is a bluff with the odds you are getting on the call (although there are many other factors to consider).

when reviewing stuff like this it is good not to be results orientated. I mean if his cards were face up you would make the call all day long right? So you are happy to get it in here and the read turned out correct, the guy just hit his card.
