Is this a disciplined fold?

So - not results orientated in the slightest - brag i went onto bink it :-)

we are in the final 3 of a £400 mtt

we are pretty deep and no one is getting that much out of line.  We feel we have an edge at the table (slight nothing to get excited about, feel if i can get HU will have bigger edge)

As played - My click back is rubbish and thought I typed 9k - but i didnt, so I know that is a huge mistake.

Can we ever fold to this shove - i ran it though Equalib and is close depending on his range.  I have put him on a pretty tight range here - 10's + AQs +, KQs plus and maybe A/KQ off.  Tht tells me is a fold.

I tank called - but noted hand number first as this is a spot i find myself in often.

    Any thoughts welcome

    Thanks

As you mention the raise is way too small, you said you wanted to make it 9k, which is fine, but when you are 3 handed with a big stack you want to be playing very agressive and 3betting a lot, so i would balance my entire 3betting range (suited connectors, Ax and premiums)  nearer 7.5-8k..

normally id say you cant fold JJ in that spot, but due to your small rereaise it really narrows your range to very strong hands, and fairly weak hands (imo) and the fact hes happy to get his stack in (and not just RR)  narrows his range to roughly 1010+ and ak.

I also think flatting pre is fine, ideally you dont want to be playing big pots out of position against the other big stack, especially when you see the shorter stack as the weakest player.

i don't think we can pass JJ 3 handed for 40bb unless we have a massive note, seems like a cooler to me although i agree the 3bet should be larger

Thank Groggy - much appreciated - like idea of flatting - can be a sneaky play - but yeah - mistake is my click back!

    thanks again

I'm snap calling because I don't expect villain to be jamming AA/KK here unless he's really good and trying to level you (knowing that your min-3b is likely pretty strong) - most people that jam here will have AK or TT-QQ maybe sometimes AQ. And we have just over 53% equity against that range. If just against QQ/AA then we still have 45% equity which is enough.

Certainly depends on how often you've been 3betting, and if oppo is tight or not.
If you have a tight image and this is low stakes I would fold, as the regs in low games are generally far too tight
