I'm off to the airport in a few hours. Really looking forward to it now. It'll be lovely to meet all the qualifiers.

Tomorrow I'm going to play the $1,000 event which will be one of three shots I get, (unless I go really deep in the main and then it'll be two), to win a bracelet. I'll be starting at 11am and Tweeting a little @senseichanning and probably 12% will go back on day two Friday.

I think we get to meet the five players who qualified for the main with Sky on Thursday night so that will be nice.

On Monday all the people who won the smaller package will be meeting up for a nice party. Many of them will be in Vegas for the first time and I'm sure they'll all be nervous and excited. I look forward to meeting and chatting with them.

Looking forward to following all the qualifiers progress on here. Good luck to them all, especially the likes of Timmy, RLT and Mark that keep the diaries on here.

Would be interested to know how many of the qualifiers from Sky are pro's.

I have got a photo or two of the early arrivals, including Sam, but it's late here (0450) and I need to get to bed, so will upload them in the morning.

Apologies for the delay and lack of photos and posts, I have suffered an unexpected interruption.

Talking of living Vegas vicariously, Tikay has reached Day 2 of a "Big O" event at the Venetian, where the chip leader is WSOP Event 10 winner Mike Cordell.

Also still in the field of 25 is 3-time bracelet winner "Miami" John Cernuto who might be even older than Tikay.

    Thanks all.

No news is bad news I'm afraid.

After having double average with a few tables left, the wheels came off in some style, & I ended up 9th for $2,361. My new name is Larry Letdown.

Anyway, it was my 3rd reasonable cash of the trip & keeps me in profit for the trip. So far......

    Thanks for the kind comments.

This was Sam arriving at McCarron yesterday. (That's "Sky_Sam", who sort of runs Sky Poker day to day. Ish.)

This was in the magnificent Venetian Card Room this evening, Sam nearest camera, & the chap in the orange t-shirt is, I think, "GREGGER".

Gregger (real name Greg) won his £3,500 Viva Las Vegas package in the first ever Half Time Tournament, which was a 2,500 runner Freeroll.

Not his first trip to Vegas, & he used to be a handy poker player before he concentrated on his Uni studies. Lives in Leeds, poor lad.

I had a surprise visit & "rail" at Venetian this evening from Sue & Dave Norsden, aka KidGrimsby & KidGirlGy. Sue won around $36,000 in the WSOP Main Event back in 2010 after qualifying for about £2, as I recall. Lovely couple.

    Name &/or Sky Poker alias.
Robert Lee Tarn, although i go by lee, Robert has been used for the first son of the first son for the last countless generations but my mum really hated it so from birth ive been called lee....
Who is your +1, & why did you choose to bring him or her?
My +1 is one of my closest friends, a Guy called Aaron Gale, i decided to bring Aaron because he like me loves to play poker, aswell as not being able to afford brining the mrs.
we share similiar interests outside of poker to and i expect we will want to do the same kind of things outside of poker whiole out there so made sense to take him.
Where do you live, what part of the country?
I live in Wiltshire in a town called Chippenham which is between Bath and Swindon
Do you have family - wife, children, pets? Names, types & gender please.
I am not married, despite the constant nagging from my mrs parents and grandparents to do so, me and Hannah have been together close to 10 years though and have 3 children together, 2 boys and 1 girl, Kaitlyn 5, Cameron who turned 4 yesterday, and curtis who is 9 months. we also have 2 pet hamsters, flash and Derrington,
    Fave football team?
Newcastle, im a massive football fan, as anyone withme on facebook will be able to tell you, wether we are winning or losing im notrmall posting up essay style posts of some sort about football. were in for a good year this year
    Hobby?
other than football and poker, probably just sports in general, With Australian rules football being my next main sport, having played it at the highest level possible in this country, before injury pretty much put an end to that. and along with sports, Gaming would be high on the list.
Biggest poker achievement before Viva Las Vegas?
My biggest poker achievement is only a small one and that was winning a tournament at my local casino on the 4/5th attempt at it, there was only around 100 players in it and it wasnt for massive money but it was nice to get a live win under the belt before heading off to vegas.
