I think the guy on the right is saying "And how many WSOP cashes have YOU got this year then?"

Ha yes, if we go on current form Mr Tikay should be playing this one!

I see there's a nice table already in play - James Akenhead, Matthew Ashton and Andy Black on the same table

Guys, I'll do a separate thread for "How many runners?", & add a prize or two.

I'll start it in the next 10 minutes.

Regarding the increase in stack sizes mentioned in the video diary...

I would have thought the pros would love this. More chips = better structure = less variance and the better players going deeper on average.

I would expect to see a few more big name pros involved at the thick end of things this year as a result.

One player has busted out already.

There were paired jacks on the board, one player had J-Q the other had J-A.

Would YOU go bust there, in Level one (2 hour levels) with 50,000 chips?

That doesn't look like a 50k stack in the photo, hope there hasn't been an early set back.

Should have mentioned - we do in today's Video Update, which will be available shortly - that the starting level is 75-150. Pretty sure it was 50-100 last year, or am I wrong?

Yeah I noticed that hand on the WSOP feed. Several hands could have them both beat. Bit crazy getting 330+ BB's in there unless they had a seriously strong early read on their opponent. Small ball poker in reverse.

Can people enter multiple day 1 flights if they bust? I guess if you had deep pockets for more bullets and that is the case then it makes a little more sense.

    Yes you're right, level 1 was 50-100 last year, followed by 100-200, 150-300, 150-300-25 and 200-400-50 on Day 1

This year, 75-150, 150-300, 150-300-25, 200-400-50 and 250-500-50 so it's a bit quicker than last year at least in the early stages.

No re-entries in the Main. Once you're gone, you're gone and it's 12 months to the next one.

Yeah it was 50-100 starting last year. Even with a level or even 2 levels removed I would imagine it should still play a little slower and effectively be deeper stacked than last year? I remember Negreanu arguing for an early level or 2 to be taken out a year or 2 ago which I would agree with. Structure looks brilliant to me for the main event!

Please note these little updates, which we will do for each day a Sky Poker player is in, is an "as we go along" Update on the Sky Poker players, with a bit of added colour, just so we can follow our qualifiers.

The official WSOP Update on Sky Poker will still be done by Barny.
