Regarding the increase in stack sizes mentioned in the video diary... I would have thought the pros would love this. More chips = better structure = less variance and the better players going deeper on average. I would expect to see a few more big name pros involved at the thick end of things this year as a result. Should have mentioned - we do in today's Video Update, which will be available shortly - that the starting level is 75-150. Pretty sure it was 50-100 last year, or am I wrong?

His orange chips (5,000 denom) are hidden behind his hand.
One player has busted out already. There were paired jacks on the board, one player had J-Q the other had J-A. Would YOU go bust there, in Level one (2 hour levels) with 50,000 chips? Posted by Tikay10
Yeah I noticed that hand on the WSOP feed. Several hands could have them both beat. Bit crazy getting 330+ BB's in there unless they had a seriously strong early read on their opponent. Small ball poker in reverse.
Can people enter multiple day 1 flights if they bust? I guess if you had deep pockets for more bullets and that is the case then it makes a little more sense.

Yes you're right, level 1 was 50-100 last year, followed by 100-200, 150-300, 150-300-25 and 200-400-50 on Day 1
This year, 75-150, 150-300, 150-300-25, 200-400-50 and 250-500-50 so it's a bit quicker than last year at least in the early stages.

No re-entries in the Main. Once you're gone, you're gone and it's 12 months to the next one.

Yeah it was 50-100 starting last year. Even with a level or even 2 levels removed I would imagine it should still play a little slower and effectively be deeper stacked than last year? I remember Negreanu arguing for an early level or 2 to be taken out a year or 2 ago which I would agree with. Structure looks brilliant to me for the main event!

Cheers FCHD, hopefully it stays that way in future.

Guys, I'll do a separate thread for "How many runners?", & add a prize or two.
I'll start it in the next 10 minutes.
